If you have long hair, how do you wear it?

I'm 41. I have long dark blonde hair. It has a natural wave and a tendency to frizz. When reading threads about how to look polished hair is always mentioned. I have it cut regularly but it doesn't hold a style well.
Sometimes I will wear it down and Straighten it but more often than not I will just stick it in a bun on top of my head (stereotype mum bun).
Just wondered what others with long hair did, particularly if you always look tidy?!

I tend to wear it straightened and down as I find it lower maintenance. If I'm being lazy and it needs a wash but dont have time I'll put it in a plait.

Mine is ginger and wavy. I twist it and secure it with clips at my crown. I also wear it down with a headband. Are you feeling in a style rut op?

Straightened/curled and either down or half up/down or like pp a side plait/French plait if it needs washing

Mines is long, fine and wavy. I wear mines in a messy bun all day, I like it out my face. I will straighten it and wear it down when I am dressing up for something.

Mine is highlighted blonde, quite fine & wavy & now just past shoulder length finally!
It actually curls into ringlets if I let it dry naturally.
I have to wash it at least alternate days as the roots get very greasy & dry shampoo does nothing.

I have to wear it up for work as an HCA so then I wear a ponytail or bun.

So when I'm not at work I quickly dry it, put shine spray on the ends & leave it down.
I never straighten it as I prefer waves & curls, if I use my GHDs it's to create volume or curl.

Bun
French plaits into bun
French plait
Normal plait
Half up, half down
Straight
Sleep with it in plaits, then wear it down in waves
Pigtails, then wrapped around each other and pinned

I'm your age with long wavy hair. I spend a lot of time with it in a low ponytail but that is for comfort rather than style! The rest of the time;

Down and parted on the side or the centre, I rarely straighten it as I don't like to use heat on my hair.

Down with a hairband or Alice band.

Bun, either at the nape of my neck, on the back of my head or right up high. This can be a messy type bun or a smoother ballerina style bun. Hair can be parted or straight back.

Ponytail, variations as per buns. Use hair ties, barrettes, scarves, ribbons, or even a scrunchie for variety.

Plaits, french, or normal. I don't like two plaits but I do like just plaiting the top half or plating to the nape of my neck and leaving the tail loose. You can also plait a high pony tail. I like those sideways plaits but haven't managed to do them on myself.

Half up half down. This is my go to practical easy doesn't matter if hair needs a wash do. I use a clip rather than a bobble normally, and vary how much I clip back, sometimes just a small section to stop it getting in my face sometimes about two thirds.

Up dos, chignons, french pleats, victory rolls etc I would love to be better at these up dos but tend to stick with buns.

I think I need to become more adventurous from these replies and maybe learn how to do it properly. I feel like I have a chipmunk face so lots of things don't suit me. Thanks for the responses!
