It is weird.

I'm not trying to be thread police but I wonder if we can have a chat about style and beauty that doesn't contain any links or facebook screenshots but does contain factual updates of the outcome of trustpilot and trading standards complaints. Obviously feel free to disagree with me but some of these threads have had useful information on stylists I hadn't heard of and that has got lost.

I'd really like to hear how the ladies contacting trading standars fair, hopefully this thread will stay. It is odd how there was no warning at all prior to the last thread being pulled.

Yes there are loads of other threads on here that reference other sites. But perhaps it's just other forums that can't be mentioned? Either way I'm sure if people use abbreviations anyone that's been following these posts for a while will realise what they are.

I don't understand why the specific post isn't removed if it's violating rules, rather than the entire thread.

@oopsadaisydoddle who is doing your colours and are they on instagram? I am thinking of setting up an instagram account tonight and might start following some people. Sorry I know you probably mentioned it on a previous thread.....

Mine were done by House of Colour and I'm happy with them so might start following them too.

@StealthNinjaMum I recommend Red Leopard on insta

@StealthNinjaMum accidentally hit post before I was done. But with Red Leopard you can watch videos which clearly show the visible difference each colour season has on the skin. And then understand what a fine science a colour analysis is and why it really can't be done over the Internet.

What’s going on? Is this about SBS who is on insta and FB and has short hair? Wears headbands?
I follow her on socials....

Following with interest. I just did the cheapest SBS package after reading the first thread on here. I had a personal shopper day with a stylist a few years ago but she didn’t do a colour analysis, just said I suit jewel tones which I agree with. Was interested in the SBS package as I didn’t really get any style tops or colours written down with my previous stylist, I’m just going off my memory.
Anyway - my results are back and they’ve said I’m an Autumn. I do have red undertones in my hair although it’s very dark. Pale skin, dark eyes, freckles. They asked for more close up selfies to double check the colours. I found it interesting and I’m glad I did it but I’m not sure I agree I’m an Autumn. Neons (especially yellow, green and pink) really suit me and make me look so alive. That’s not Autumn is it? Limited knowledge, I admit...
I also laughed at the chunky-soled shoes recommendation - probably should’ve mentioned I only wear barefoot footwear so that’s an absolute no-no!

I’m not terribly confident that this thread is going to stay up either. I didn’t see that there was a problem with the last one or that it was a TAAT? It just followed on from a previous one. Confused

Well hopefully this one continues and we can comment on positive changes. I see today on IG she's "working with the professionals"

babyinthecorner I'm autumn and I don't think I suit neons but I don't know how it works. I wear a lot of quite muted colours - khaki, orange, brown and true red and get quite a lot of compliments in real life so assume my H of C analysis was correct.

atalune yes it's the same one but threads on her keep being deleted.

There was a few people who suspected that a person on the now deleted SBS thread was another IG'er who was friends with Susie in real life. SBS posted a story earlier about them meeting up and now Susie and T.O.M from IG (suspected prev poster who was most likely a winter but analysed as an autumn) are meeting for coffee. Wonder if it really was T.O.M on here and if she'll bring up her wrong analysis?

Are the SBS essentials:

Chunky white trainers
Kaz band
Denim jacket
Leather jacket
Slogan tee shirt?

I would look utterly ridiculous in a kaz band, ditto chunky trainers. I liked the suggestions of clothes and colours for different seasons and body shapes recently.

One thing the group do really well is encourage women to do tucks, half tucks and wear belts. So many women want to hide their mum tum with a baggy top when often something that shows your waist looks so much better. That is confidence boosting.

I don't really get the white trainers thing because I follow my autumn palette and if I'm wearing green/ khaki trousers and a red top the clean white trainers just look out of place. I also love denim jackets which aren't part of my season and don't want to have too many things that are out of place so white trainers would be too much.

Anyway I'm off to google the Concept Wardrobe. Thanks for the recommendation oopsadaisydoddle

Also take a look at this - more training guide for stylists but useful

That workbook is pretty comprehensive! I think it would be quite easy to work out what you are from that!

That booklet is really useful although I'm still not sure which season I fit the most! I was analysed as a winter by SBS but have never really felt like that's what I am - for now I've given up and just wear whatever colours I want. I'm always drawn to mustard, teals and autumny colours so that's what I wear most!
