Comfortable cushioned white leather trainers

I'm looking for a pair of white leather trainers to wear with midi skirts, dresses etc. The problem is I have pretty bad arthritis in one knee so need lots of cushioning for walking. I have great sports trainers but I'm looking for something a bit smarter.

I own converse and supergas - both are now causing me knee pain so I need to find something more cushioned and supportive. I was looking at Air and Grace as they are supposed to be cushioned but they are £££ and I wondered if Adidas or Nike might be just as cushioned for less cost.

Ideally I want completely white leather. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance.

I wear Nike Airforce 1s and find them very very comfy. There are slightly different styles available and for me the Shadow range are well proportioned. They are chunky compared to Superga etc but I still wear them with midi dresses and love the juxtaposition.
Someone else will recommend Adidas Stan Smiths which I also own but I don’t love as much as i should. They are also not as supportive, they are however more supportive that plimsoles and they are more of a classic look if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Thanks Thinkle. I wasn't sure about Airforce Ones as I'm about 30 years older than the kids who wear them where I live. I think my daughter would either be mortified or steal them!

I also wonder if Stan Smiths have had their day as they have been around for so long. What do you think?

You should definitely have a look at Fitflops. They do tons of trainer styles now. I have a friend who has a terrible back as she swears by them.

I have some John Lewis own-brand white leather trainers which are super comfy (now that I've broken them in). I also have some non-leather ones from Heavenly Feet which are even comfier.

I have FitFlop ones and they are crazy comfy! I don't do well with pavement walking in thin soles, I need some cushioning and these are great. I'm in my 3rd year with them, I gave them a good clean up this year with cif and a white leather polish, bleached the laces and they look clean again Smile

I have some from mint velvet! They're beautiful and comfortable.

Thanks all. I have some Nike Internationalist in blue already!

I tried the Mint Velvet and found myself to be in between sizes so just didn't find them comfortable.

I'll definitely have a look at the Fitflop ones but I do remember after my last knee op that I was told to avoid balance type shoes. Is that what they do or am I mixing them up with others?

I think you're thinking about MBTs which are a bit wobbly.

Fitflops basically just have super thick soles.
