If someone else has already started one of these please direct me over. I’m not qualified to be the OP of these wonderful threads... but I typed the below and I will be heard Grin Wink

Neither the dress nor the tiara are my personal favourites.

But bloody hell it’s got class.

Granny’s dress and tiara turn it from ‘shameful secret wedding because daddy can’t be seen in public anymore’ to ‘intimate family occasion fully supported and loved by Grandmother, The Queen’. I think it’s a huge showing of support from the Queen to her granddaughter and that’s lovely.

Thought she looked beautiful, dress was so lovely, and Beatrice looked so relaxed and happy

Someone asked about Fergie's tiara!
I've been thinking for ages Fergie flogged that tiara years about

I thought she looked beautiful. And I like that she reused a vintage dress rather than buying new - something we should all be doing really.

Love love love love the recommissioned dress.

It almost seems like a “normal” wedding (apart from the bride’s granny being the Queen) from the description I saw.

Beatrice’s smile speaks for itself doesn’t it?

She looks so pretty, elegant and I love everything about the Wedding.

They look so happy, 2 of the nicest wedding pictures I have seen from all the royal weddings tbh, loved that her something old and something borrowed where her dress and tiara from her Grandmother, Did the Queen wear that tiara for her own wedding?

Oh for once I know the answer to something, yes the Queen did wear that tiara! I love her dress and I think that funnily enough it looks like one of the nicest Royal Weddings, The Queen, Prince Phillip and the newly weds all look genuinely happy.

She looks lovely! Also, the flowers are pretty much carbon copies of mine from my wedding last year! So I'm feeling rather smug Grin

Lovely dress, really suits her and the occasion. I'm not sure about the fringe tiara though - it's a lot of bling for an otherwise understated country wedding and lends itself to evening wear. Something like the one Meghan wore would seem more fitting IMO. That said, I'm not sure what the alternative would be - Meg, Zara and Kate got in there first with the delicate tiaras at their weddings and a lot of HM's others seem massive

She looks amazing! The entrance to the church with the flowers around it is stunning. I'd much rather have a wedding like that than some extravaganza with hundreds of guests etc.

What's the story with the dress?

I'm going to go with that was always the wedding dress, I think vintage is a ver Beatrice look and it's a special because who else gets to wear the queens dresses? I'd love to see it close up! There maybe a designer gown in the wardrobe for a celebration in Italy or something at a later date....although I don't think we will see much of that! Now I just need a pic of Eugenie and fergie and I'm happy!

Oh thank God you started a new thread @AppleKatie! I panicked when I realised the photos were out and the other thread was full!

I think Bea looks lovely in the photos - pretty and happy. She really does have the look of a young Queen Victoria, as we've said before. I love the dress but am not keen on the pointiness of Queen Mary's fringe tiara. I prefer tiaras with more rounded, organic shapes. But I suppose it suited the vintage look. I agree that Fergie has likely flogged the York one.

Love the dress and the whole intimacy of the Queen lending it. But it looks as if the bottom part is completely different fabric and a different white. Maybe just the light in that photo.

I do love the flowers.

And that is the most genuine look of happy/pride/fear on Edo’s face. It’s that look good men get at their weddings like they can’t believe they got this lucky. He’s gone up in my estimation.

Before all the covid stuff I could've seen Beatrice in something like a Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, something quite corseted and nipped in at the waist. I'd imagine they'll have a party too and she'll go for some evening wear. She really does look lovely - love her hair like that too. The more I look at the pics the more I see how the tiara works with the lines of beading on the dress actually

Small wedding would have been so much less overwhelming for Edo's 4 year old son.

I hope this starts a trend for small intimate weddings, let’s hope people bankrupting themselves for a huge do are over.

StartUp the trim around the bottom is to lengthen the dress as the Queen is/was shorter than Beatrice.

It's such a pretty wedding, a bit country, vintage, oldy-worldy....like Tess of the d'Urbervilles but with diamonds Grin

I like the punch of the tiara....as well as the connection to the Queen (and Princess Anne wore it for her first wedding) it's a bit of proper "I'm a princess, don't forget" too. Fab.

I hope so! I wish normal happy marriages on both of them.

I like that the photos dress and tiara all scream her connection with the queen whilst omitting her shambolic parents.

I’m not a massive fan of the the dress, though I like the metallic bits and she looks gorgeous, as do the flowers. I hope they had a wonderful day Smile
