Dilemma: high heels with long trousers are no good on my long walk to work ....

but if I wear trainers or comfortable shoes I need much shorter trousers? What do you all do? Do you really only wear shorter jeans etc when you wear flats and longer jeans with heels .... ?

I'm 5' 2" and I do tend to buy petite length trousers or jeans to wear with flat shoes -usually more casual style and smarter regular length to wear with heels.

It's a pain but because I'm quite short trousers that are too long on me make me look even shorter.

It is a nightmare ... Im not short short ... average I suppose - surely this is something even tall people have issues with.

How long is this long walk? Have you tried wedges? Much more comfortable than heels, imo, but still give you the height.

I wear trainers with platform type heel...then change at work.

I have the same problem, only I'm loath to give up the long trews and heels combo because it makes my little legs look so much longer... One solution I did find was tucking the trousers into mid heeled boots then changing when you arrive, but really only doable in winter and I have only 2 pairs of trousers that actually go with the boots.

I have a 20 minute walk in the morning, and the same again in the evening ... which is ok but not after a day in heels! I would be happy to wear flats for the walk but I end up ruining my trousers when they drag on the floor.

get some boots

they still look smart but are MUCH more comfortable for walking (you don't need a mega heel but can get a reasonable heel and still have them look smart and feel comfortable)

I wore heels on my first day back - I have about a 30 minute walk and I nearly cried when I got to teh office my feet were so sore! Boots are the answer!

I had exactly the same problem back in the hazy past when I wasn't preggers and I used to love wearing high heel/long trouser combos. Sorry, I don't have any advice. I don't think I ever solved the problem. If it's a pair of long jeans, you can sometimes get away with turning them up a bit with trainers (not v stylish but saves you from ruining the hems). That doesn't really work with a nice pair of trousers though.

I don't think there really is a solution .. other than to have shorter trousers to wear with flats or medium and medium .. if you know what I mean.
