How do I add Vitamin C in my skincare (pic attached)

My skin seems to have lost it's glow recently Sad Now I know this could just be a result of growling old and being more stressed with WFH full time while trying to parent a 7 year old and a 3 year old! But I have convinced myself that adding Vitamin C to my skincare routine is the answer.

Currently my AM routine is cleanse with Vit E cleanser and flannel, followed by Vit E hydrating toner, Garnier Rose moisturiser (this is a new change) and LRP sunscreen

PM: double cleanse with jojoba oil and Vit E cleanser, followed by Paula's Choice 2% BHA (a couple of times a week) and Rosehip oil.

My skin is normal to combination and I'm 36 years old. Any recommendations for including vitamin C in my routine (or anything else that may help) would be greatly appreciated Smile

P. S. NC in case someone recognises me from the pic!

I put it on before I moisture. Your skin looks great by the way.

@timetest thanks! Do you use it as a serum? And which brand please?

I’ve been using Drunk Elephant vitamin C serum but there are quite a few available. I put it On after sunscreen (I use Ultrasun and they advise it goes on before normal skincare) then moisturise on top. I don’t use it at night as I use tretinoin then.

I have combination skin and vitamin c treatments always cause my skin to break out in spots Sad It's worth trying but doesn't suit everyone.

On a plus note, I agree with pp, your skin looks great in the pic. Your current skin routine is clearly working already. I would prescribe more sleep; easier said then done I know.

Thanks for the caution @SmileyClare!

The only way to add vitamin C to your skin is to eat it :) Cheap bottle of tablets or eat more fruit.

I use Oskia Vit C capsules they are fab.

I also have an oski vit c serum.

Sunday Riley is nice

Or cheaper would be la Roche Posay vit c serum.

I think the ordinary have some too which are usually popular.

Use before moisturiser in morning

No it's not!

I use Beauty Pie's vitamin c capsules, so individual does, one does your face and they suggest two for face, neck and décolleté.
I'm going to try some Garden of Wisdom with ferrulic next in the name of research and if I'm feeling really flush then I'm trying some Oskia ones.

aw bless you! No, vitamin C serum is an amazing antioxidant for skin. I really like skinceuticals vit c serum- makes skin really glow! It smells weirdly of hot dogs but ive found no vit c serum smells great so I think this is normal. I believe The Ordinary do a budget version if skinceuticals is out of your price range.

I've been using a Superdrug one which has actually been really good, but like a pp I also have Beauty Pie capsules ready to use when my current ones run out.

I found the ordinary vitamin c pilled really badly under makeup.

I use the vit c after cleansing and before moisturiser and spf.

Oz Naturals Vit C serum. I swear by it. You can buy it on Amazon for about 20 quid.

Or else drink more water. And I mean a LOT of water. 4 liters a day. It'll wipe 10 years off your face.

I use Indeed vitamin C although I’ve used TO one as well. Both sting! I put it on after cleansing before sunscreen in the morning. Then I have an eye cream which contains vitamin c and retinol which I use at night on non full on retinol days.
