Where can I get some sleek but not skin tight joggers/leggings suitable for jogging? Need to be high waist and available in 16/18 :)
Thanks!

Honestly you want running tights, wear a long top with them if you must or even a skirt over them but loose trousers for running will chafe.

I thought that might be the case! Any particular recommendations? And also what sort of top?!

I like the 3/4 tights with a long vest, having the lower leg exposed makes a big difference to how hot you get, but no where near as revealing as shorts.

My go to brand is Asics, which I find is good quality for the price, although perhaps not as fashionable as some of the others.

Things to check for are a zipped pocket for your door key and a drawstring in addition the the elasticated waist. I find without they almost all fall down. I like to be able to pull them up nice and high and have them stay there so the lycra can do it job on my wobbly tum and stop it bouncing while I run Grin

Socks are much more important than you think. Avoid cotton at all costs - blisters

Agree about socks - Hilly socks are the best in my opinion. I have 3 different types of theirs and they are all super comfy and don’t give me blisters.

You can’t go too far wrong with leggings from one of the big running brands - Nike, ASICS, New Balance, Ron Hill. They all do a range of tops too so have a browse online at Wiggle or Start Fitness who have a good range.

I love Sweaty Betty for running gear too but they are v expensive - love their zero gravity running leggings as they do suck you in, are nice and high waisted with a drawstring and have a pocket big enough for an iPhone. Their breeze running tops are looser and cover the bum too - they do vest, t shirt and long sleeve versions. I think the compound vest is a looser fit as well. In my defence they do good sales’

If you really do want something a little looser there’s always the classic Ronhill tracksters, but I think they’d be bit warm for the summer.

I like the basic ASDA jogging leggings, I have the long and 3/4 length. They cover my generous bum and aren’t see through. They don’t have pockets but I use a running belt that I got for £6 off of eBay with a clip fastening and decent adjustable length and put my phone and keys in it.
