What oil/balm to oil cleanser do you use?

And, do you recommend it?

I'm almost at the end of a cheapy one I picked up in Primark a few weeks before lockdown & have a small No7 hot cloth cleanser to use once that's gone.

I wondered if anyone uses a particularly nice oil cleanser (pref. one that emulsifies with water & definitely don't fancy coconut oil).

My favourite one is Skinfood Black Sugar but thought I might try something new.

I like the Hada Labo Gokujun Oil Cleanser. Emulsifies, unscented, very gentle. It's a bit of a bugger to get recently because of CV. I've used a Simple one from Boots, and it was good too. I just preferred the packaging of the Hada Labo one.

DHC Cleansing Oil. Expensive but you only need one pump to dissolve all traces of make up etc.

The Simple one! I know a lot of people say it smells like cooking oil, but I really don’t mind nor want to spend much money on something that gets washed down the sink after 5 seconds. It emulsifies nicely.

Super Facialist Vitamin C + Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil is my new favourite. £10.99 at look fantastic. Emulsifies well and my skin is lovely and hydrated.

Superfacialist as above. Always on offer from boots or sometimes tkmax or Sainsburys.
It’s very good.

I just use olive oil. My mum has done the same for years, and she’s now 75 and has lovely skin still.

I use the one from Rocky Mountain Soap Co.

I use eve lom and have done for years. Pricey but I just love it

I use the Superfacialist one (Boots have got it for six quid atm, and it's often on offer there and in Sainsbury's) or Elemis Superfood cleansing oil. Bit of a price difference but the Elemis one was a present and it has lasted me ages!

Another vote for Superfacialist Vit C cleansing oil £6 on Amazonat the money!!! I prefer it over any other oil or balm, even my Emma Harding Moringa balm.

Petrarkanian Sun 31-May-20 22:04:12

Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm. Love it, all natural and removes all my makeup.

Shmithecat2 Sun 31-May-20 22:04:14

That was meant to say £6 on Amazon at the moment!!! 😳

Dr Haushka cleansing milk is really great at tough eye makeup as well. A bottle lasts me at least 6 months

KitKatKit Sun 31-May-20 22:13:01

DHC. It's fab.

Switch between Balance Me, Eve Lom and Elemis.
I get them on Beauty Expert with 3 for 2 and extra 10% off offers

Superfacialist, love the smell and always on offer either at Boots or Sainsbury's.
Also like No7 radiant results balm cleanser.

newbienewbie20 Sun 31-May-20 22:17:12

I love the Elemis one for a balm and the Votary one for an oil, both smell like a facial in a pot

CeeCeeEnnEss Sun 31-May-20 22:35:01

DHC or Evolve Beauty, both lovely.

Laquila Sun 31-May-20 22:41:40

The Superfacialist one is my absolute hero product. Love that stuff!!

Karwomannghia Sun 31-May-20 22:45:49

I love the body shop oils of life gel cleanser. It melts on and then turns creamy. I love the feel of it and the smell.

Juanmorebeer Sun 31-May-20 23:01:24

The elemis one is the BEST. Either the original smell or the rose.

I don't really rate the clinique one. It is completely fragrance free but it feels like it doesn't wash off very well.

Thank you all! The Superfacialist one seems popular so I'll have a look at that one first and then the others.

The original Elemis balm is so heavily fragranced it stings my eyes. The rose version is much less irritating.

lotusbell Mon 01-Jun-20 22:39:24

I liked the fresh citrussy scent of the Superfacialist oil but it didn't do anything special to my skin, I prefer the Elemis one. Balmwise, i like Elemis and Emma Hardy.
