been to morrisons and they refused to serve me alcohol

They said not only did i look under 21 but not even 18!!

how old am i???

26, 27 next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we have a very strict budget, have to use public transport so NO HEELS, we have ds1 who is 6 and is ASD and ds2 who is 16 weeks, so pratical clothing, i wear glasses but use contact lenses, have dark brown nearly black hair cut to my shoulders.

This morning was a nightmare no time to do my make up or hair so just put my contact lenses in and tied my hair back.

So how can i look my age with makeup and when i dont???????????????

lol!

I used to have the same problem - there was nothing I could do about it though. And then I turned 40......

that happened to me on our work do. I am 27 and they refused to serve me! my 18 yr old co-worker was served no problem.
and I had no ID on me.

LOL, enjoy it while it lasts and take ID with you!

Do you tend to stick to jeans and t-shirt type stuff? If so perhaps it would be an idea to be a little more tailored, perhaps still jeans but worn with a smarter jacket or a more dressy top. If you wear trainers then ditch them and replace them with ballet pump type things if you can't do heels. Flat knee length boots are apparently 'in' for autumn/winter, they would be good with jeans tucked in.

Don't know if any of that helps, will have a look on-line and try to post some links.

Oh another thought, rather than an anorak/parka type thing (sorry just guessing here, you'll need to tell us more about what you normally wear) wear a more tailored coat/jacket.

Relish it, sweetie. It bugged the hell out of me when I was 24. Two decades on, and it's the one thing I rely on.

This is a nice look IMO what are your pins like?

I also like the whole wide leg jeans/trousers with swingy cropped jacket combo, been looking for pics but can't find any.

This is nice and quite reasonably priced.

This is nice too, I'm working on the theory here of hiding casual practical stuff under a smart coat/jacket.

Redbull2, I know how you feel. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and got ID'd at Waitrose last week when I was buying vanilla essence (I didn't even know it contained alcohol). I felt like such a pregnant teenager when I finally figured out why she wanted to know how old I am.

sorry been giving ds2 a bottle then a nappy change!!

im just over 5ft, im about a size 12, hate showing my legs as i have thunder thighs and stretch marks on them (thanks ds1 and ds2!!)

i usually wear trainers as i have very wide feet and anything else just cripples me, i also find it easier to run after ds1 with ASD in trainers when out, boot cut jeans, cargo trousers with plain tops but are cut different, yes you guessed a parker type coat to keep me warm in winter while waiting for the bus!!

I'm almost 32 now and it's been about 2/3 years since I was asked for ID so it does stop. Also with a 16 week old you don't have much time, in a few years you'll hopefully have more time to do make-up/hair.

IMO from your list of what you wear if you want to look older I would hone in and try and change the trainers, cargo trousers and parka.
