TOAST

Now I never thought I'd say this, not until my mid 40's at least, but I feel like celebrating the wonders of TOAST! I'm not sure I'm game for the wintry stuff but their summer dresses are just perfect. For years I've longed for the undone, easy linen look but usually end up looking like a sack of potatoes... not this summer my friends!

My dad earlier said I looked "outrageously well sorted" in my new orange linen number - I think he meant well put together, and I've just got the navy on sale on JL. Yipppeeeee!

I don't work there.... just looking for fellow fans!

I have such a love hate relationship with toast. I return 90% of what I order because it fits terribly or is deeply unflattering then every now and again I find something that fits beautifully.

Just ordered a dress in the sale that I've had my eye on for ages so my fingers are crossed!!

Oh interesting! I had a bit of a spree and love it all - admittedly all dresses. Not sure I could carry off the heavier stuff, trousers/shirts etc.

I wish I were tall and willowy so I could wear things from toast. But I'm short, fat and dumpy. Aah well.

Love it. But wait for the sales.

I love their trousers. The dresses are no good for me as I'm clearly not their shape on top, but I have the most beautiful perfectly fitting trousers from Toast, that button on my actual waist and skim over my hips.

I just love the fabrics. I can't stand the stuff most clothes are made of nowadays. I feel a horror running over my skin all the time in them. But Toast fabrics are always lovely.

I'm short and dumpy and am very fond of Toast. I have a few dresses and tops which I love but haven't had any success with trousers or skirts yet. My latest delivery is due today!

My favourite is this; www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+dresses+and+tunics/cjnaw/garment+dyed+linen+dress.htm

I'm a tall ish 10-12 and it's very flattering.

I liked the look of the lattice print dress @GreenGreenGrassofSloane. I bought this www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+dresses+and+tunics/c1neq/kado+floral+print+cotton+dress.htm?clr=C1NEQ_RiverBlue_sw
In the John Lewis sale which started before the Toast one.
This too

And the Ume dress in the cranberry/wine for winter which had a really good reduction in John Lewis. I love Toast after my first purchase of a dressing gown about 2 years ago.the fabrics are usually lovely, you just have to find which styles suit and which size to try as it’s a bit expensive to have to order more than one size.

I love Toast, but I'm mostly the wrong shape (short, not overweight but definitely not willowy), although I have stuck lucky with some cropped trousers and a jumper via eBay. So I'm settling for shoes, homeware and hopefully, one day I'll get one of those lovely dressing gowns for my hit of loveliness. Browsing the website makes me happy, even if I don't buy anything! I am also not quite 40.

I have this dress which I bought full price. I absolutely love it and wear it all the time. I also have jumpers, cardigans and trousers. I love everything I've kept but I do return 50% of the stuff due to sizing and fit. I'm an up and down shape with no waist so their stuff suits me.

I love Toast. And I am slight and 5ft 3. However I am short of leg so the high waisted cropped 30s style trousers they had this winter were my dream trousers and full length on me. They had a few years where the waist sizing was getting more generous and I sent a lot back but this year they have been spot on (have seen the review saying ‘size up’ but perfect for me as they are). The clothing material is beautiful and I wear the clothes for a long time so generally worth the ouchy initial cost. Have been wearing Toast for about 15 years - late 40s now.

I love their trousers, but i do alter them. They make the best pockets!!!

I've only got one thing from them - a heavily reduced linen jacket. It's okay, but definitely wouldn't have been worth anywhere near full price.

Love that green dress.

I am a huge toast fan - from their bedlinen to blankets, shoes, coats trousers. Sleeve length is a bit on the short side for me and I agree sizes are variable. It's expensive and I only buy non sale stuff if I absolutely love it.

I hit up the sale last night, always a treat. I get lots of compliments on my most monkish/Bloomsbury set toast dresses. I figure If I buy a summer dress and a winter dress every year in the sale I’ll eventually have an entire wardrobe.

I treated myself to this nightie in the sale (in blue) & it's just lovely for wearing around the house in this weather. I'm also keeping the dungarees because they're great for current life of wfh/walks/supermarket.
I also ordered this skirt which is beautiful but doesn't suit me so is going back.

I love Toast when it is a bit edgy and going full throttle with their colours.

I do worry a bit that lots of the reviewers on the site are really very staid complaining about ‘otherwise pretty blouse’ or ‘why are all your trousers too short’ etc, and that eventually Toast will give in and become a Per Una with better fabrics.

I absolutely love Toast, the quality is head and shoulders above the rest of the high street. Think I've only ever bought two things at full price (one was this top which was a massive splurge but god I love it), I sit on my hands until the sales and have a few triumphs from eBay as well.

I have to be careful with the lengths as I'm 5' 9" but the trousers as PPs have said are a wonderful fit (I'm a pear-shaped 12-14 usually, 10-12/M in Toast but I like an oversized fit on top so usually go with a 12). They definitely cut dresses for a 5'5" kind of height but the London shops do alterations, for free I think, and there is always a hem that can be let down which in itself is pretty rare these days. And pockets!

The linen pieces in the summer and cord in the winter are fantastic. Also the t-shirts which are lovely thick cotton and hold their shape brilliantly. The denim is also amazing. And the nightwear. I could go on. I am admittedly mid 40s and bought my first Toast things about 10 years ago, but that was mainly because I couldn't afford it before then!

LOVE Toast. I've bought a mixture of things in the sale and from eBay and I love them all. I tend to go for things that I know will suit me - I'm a slim pear shape, 5'7 and quite slightly built on top so I steer clear of things I think will swamp my top half. I love their trousers and skirts. Currently trying to decide whether or not I want to get anything from the current sale!

The trousers are too short (for me) and the sleeves are often too short but that’s because they are made for someone around 5ft 6

I am slowly replacing my entire wardrobe with Toast clothing
Only ever buy in the sale though...and they have regular sales
Have never been disappointed
John Lewis also stock the brand and have good offers there too
