To ask how much you pay for clothing?

Wondering if anyone wants to come out and state what they pay for a dress, blouse, jumper, jeans on average.

Would love to know the most you pay for clothing.

Lol, I'm a bit of a shopaholic - dress id average £200.

Jeans on I'm. A bit stingy on so rarely more than £30.

Coats, £300

Tops etc £50

Oh gosh cheap as chips here.
Jeans - £30 max but usually £13 on Primark straight leg Vintage
Top - max £25 but average £15
Dress - would go up to £30 max but usually much less.
Jumper - maybe £20
Blouse - £15ish
Coat - would go up to £75 but love waterfall Maxmara dupes - usually £20
Blazer - max £30

I'm good at buying cheap things and somehow not looking cheap in them according to my friends.

Dress - from £20 to £250 (usually one extreme or the other i.e. Asos or designer in the sale)

Blouse - from £40 to £300 (usually around £100, although I did pay almost £300 for a blouse this week - it was reduced eek! and the last one available)

Jeans - £150 to £200 (I rarely buy jeans but when I do I buy raw denim from craft makers such as Blackhorse Lane Atelier or Huit Denim)

Jumper - from £30 to £300 (I mainly buy cashmere or a silk blend. I never buy acrylic. I try to buy in sales from place like &Daughter but I also like Bella Freud and Jigsaw)

Very similar price ranges to @JMAngel1 - I really don't like spending lots on clothes and always buy on offer or in sales.

My exceptions are shoes as will always buy leather so on average £50-100 and coats where I would happily spend over £100

...I splurge on perfume - I have so much perfume

Primark, any sales items.

Tiny amounts, no more than £12 for an item.
My winter coat bought in the same for £36 and I’ve now had it for about 10 years.’
I just can’t justify spending on such luxury.

Kids again, George, primark, cheap as I can get.

Clothes really are not a priority for me at all, so I buy most of my stuff at supermarkets or in the sales at Next, M&S or JL. I get most of my outdoor clothing from trade stands at horsey events. I will pay more for decent, properly made shoes, as I find cheap shoes a false economy.

I never buy expensive ‘designer’ brands.

Tops £12.99, I consider £17 for a top expensive, and it would have to be really nice!
Skirts £15/£20
Coat, last 2 winter coats I bought cost £50 each
Boots £25
Trainers £70
Dress £20

I have bought quite a lot in lockdown, but sale items, so £5 trousers, £3 tops etc.
I think I dress nicely on a budget.

I recently purchased a 'forever dress', very well made for 700£, for the first time ever. It was a making me cringe but it's just a simple and elegant dress, timeless. Will wear even if I'm 75. Very classic. So I'm ok now.

I typically range from 50£ to 250£ on clothing items myself. I've stepped back from shopping but did give myself a nice treat.

Forever dress meaning wear to work, wear to a fancy date night, wear to a holiday party, to a holiday, to even a pub. It's just so well made to be dressed up or down, and it's timeless. DH is cringing.

I bought some shorts and a top in Sainsburys last week for £14 per item which I thought was pricey. My winter coat was £40 from TK Maxx.

For a pair of nice heels, I tend do spend only up to £50 max. That's where I'm cheap and look for massive offers.

For everyday I tend to be quite middle of road: Next, Ted Baker, Mint Velvet, M&S.

Would spend a fair bit on a dress for a special occasion and some of my handbags are £££

I'm living abroad and it's very hard to get clothes in my size here, there's one shop which fits well. So T shirts about £16 (cotton and reasonably long in the body so good quality), Jeans between £40/£60 Dresses about £50/£70 the most recent being £70 but it's viscose (cooling for the hot climate). Trainers £60 Cardigans/jumpers about £25 but I don't really wear them so cheap is okay. In the UK I had more choice so things like t shirts, cardys and jumpers were usually bought in the sale, jeans and dresses I've always paid out for.

A dress could be anywhere between £30 and £500 depending on what it’s for and how much it suits me. I wouldn’t spend a lot for a work dress, but I have a couple of Needle & Thread dresses which have seen me round various weddings, events and 40ths and have been worth every penny.

I also believe in investing in jeans and I would buy J Brand every time. Fit well, flatter, wash well, but most importantly last through the day without falling down round my arse!

I wouldn’t spend big on blouses, jumpers, t shirts or tops. I basically live day to day in River Island leggings which are £10.

I am guilty of spending a lot on handbags. I used to spend really big on shoes but now I probably have all the night time heels I’ll ever need so the most I would spend is £120 ish on new trainers.

I have over the years invested in Italian winter jackets, think the one I bought a couple of years ago was around £500 but again it’s an investment, I wear it daily 8 months of the year, and I would buy another every 3 years or so.
