I was inspired by DS1 who said I looked like a walking advert for a curtain factory this morning. I'm wearing a maxi skirt, very with giant cobalt leaves on it, a plain dark grey t-shirt .When I went out I wore a multi blue striped blazer and gold trainers. I didn't think it was that bad.

Need a photo!

I’m too boring to have made any mistakes.

Oh, everything: from the day that I was born until now (I'm 53). I am absolutely clueless. Happy. But clueless Grin

I think my phase with cut off wide jeans was bad.

I gave up on high street/trend related stuff last year after months of fell walking. Came to conclusion I had so much crap and none of it suited me. I really do feel best in leggings, leisure wear or stuff that is tailored to a function (walking/climbing. Weddings) these days.

So put most of effort into hair/face now.

I look back on fashion shoes with horror.
Fun of course, sometimes, but my fucking feet are happy now.

I never seem to manage to pull off a 'put together' outfit. I fare better in the winter somehow.

I bought a pink velour tracksuit when they were popular despite never having owned a tracksuit outside of school. That got binned quickly after a witty friend walked in and said 'alright K-lo?'. My name begins with K and Jennifer Lopez was popularising the tracksuits at the time Smile

Also bought a baker boy hat at one point till someone asked me if I was auditioning for a Hovis ad..

Why I ever thought skinny jeans were for me I do not know. I bought several pairs. Apart from the fact they cut off my blood supply, my legs looked like sausages bursting out of their casing!

Also owned a velour two piece - red. Wore it one Christmas and Dad greeted me with "Hello Po!" for those who don't know, Po is the little red Tellietubbie!

Just posted this on the classics.

Fantasy - thought a pair of front pleated brown cords would give a nice country vibe.

Reality - I looked like Worzel Gummidge! 😂😂😂

Oooh, catinboots, is that the one with the woman who looked like she unfurled her dinosaur neck thing? I've stayed washed to read that again!

Op, my recent mistake was a 3 tiered maxi skirt. I looked great in them as a young woman. I'm tall. Now, although i have a flat belly i have wiiiiiiiide hips. The skirt did me no favours.

Ahhh, that the thread, "A beautiful layered neckline dress from Monsoon.

I looked like a Triceratop in it - come near me and I'll raise my neck frill in defence"

Last year I really wanted an M&S City Coat , But as coats are difficult to buy online , I dragged my DD off to Bluewater to try one on.

"You look like Del Boy" she said.
I tried a mac
"You look like Inspector Gadget" she said.

A couple of years ago , I ignored her protestations that I looked like "Pat Butcher" in my M&S Leopard (I'm dark haired . Kat Slater or bust )
I still wear that lovely coat in winter much to DD disgust Grin
