Would anyone recommend these? I've been tempted for a while. Also does anyone have a referral code they would like to share? Thanks all

I like them. I REALLY don’t have time to go shopping, and when I do I buy the same old thing again and again - grey wool cardis from cos, cashmere jumpers, blue jeans etc, nice trainers, perfectly boringly scandi style. I really told them I want to mix it up, and I put a lot of info in. I’ve had three orders, I’ve kept 2 things from one, nothing from another and everything from the third because the two things that I quite liked but would have returned were less than the discount I got for taking all the things.

They also have been DELIGHTFUL to deal with which counts for a lot.

E.g they have got me to wear a royal blue sweater which makes my eyes look bluer than they ever have, whistles barrel leg jeans, a snakeskin chiffon shirt.

I love them! Adjusting to my post pregnancy figure was a challenge in itself and shopping with a baby was hard, particularly when I kept trying on all the 'wrong' things and getting upset. It's worth taking your time answering their questions to help them 'get' your style. I've kept many things that out of the box I went eugh, but once on I loved.

I tried them and they sent me a festival of ugly clothes
However their customer service was very good and the returns were very easy!

I've had my first box and kept one thing but there were a couple of gems in there I loved but just didn't fit. I've ordered another as I hate thinking of clothes for myself

I was tempted,
But then I read the reviews which are pretty poor

I decided to give it a go (I blame lockdown boredom!) and my first box arrived this week- 1 item i loved, 1 I liked, 1 was nice but didn’t fit and 2 were awful. Not too disappointed in that for the first attempt, so will give them another go and see if they take on board my feedback and get a better hit rate next time.

I love them but I'm very specific and detailed with my likes of shapes of colours, my dislikes, and anything in particular I'm looking for

I just got my 10th box yesterday and I'd asked for lounge wear, soft fabrics, anything with modal if they have it, and some workout leggings with a pocket

I got a modal t shirt from warehouse, sweaty betty power leggings, a soft jumper, a floaty jumpsuit and some sweatpants. Keeping all of it. I've kept everything from 8 out of the 10 boxes I've had.

I've just had my second box and really love it. I think you need to put time into the app confirming what items you like etc to give them a good idea of your style but I've got and kept stuff I would never had tried myself.

I'm 'petite' (hate that word) and they were rubbish fit wise. Also took no notice of my very detailed likes and dislikes, and my big boobs. Sent everything back and cancelled, I have a good relationship with a local personal stylist who totally 'gets' me (and is busty so understands that issue too).

I had two boxes, sent everything back from both. They ignored my colour preferences, ignored my body proportions (I have v short legs compared to my body, they sent long length shapeless cardigans and a long blazer). I wanted to like it as I hate shopping, but it didn’t work for me.

I’ve had a few boxes and I just find it handy especially as I don’t particularly enjoy shopping. Customer services very good as others have said. Here’s my code if anyone wants to try

I've had two boxes now and kept everything. I asked them to push me out of my comfort zone and spent a lot of time on the app confirming which styles I did / didn't like etc. I think you need to put effort in to get the best out of it.

I've certainly kept items that I wouldn't usually even look at in a shop.

I've had several boxes from them and have given up now.
I am tall and busty and they never took any notice of my repeated comments that I needed longer length trousers. I got a couple of things I really liked (I tried 5 boxes) and the styling wasn't usually an issue but the fit was. I also started it in the hope of discovering new brands but the last two boxes were almost all (4 out of 5 items) their own brand. Some things I thought were very expensive too - in the last box there was a nice-enough simple midi skirt which was near enough £100. If I'm spending that much, I'd rather get something I really loved myself in a good quality fabric.

Only had one box but found it really disappointing - I spent ages filling in preferences but they ignored my specific comments (that I avoided polyester, wouldn't wear cropped trousers) and the items they sent were Primark quality, Whistles prices. Sent it all back.

I didn’t like a single thing in my box. Felt really frumpy. Maybe I didn’t fill in the form properly but I stated I had a young child so the everyday casual items needed to wash well. They sent white Capri pants that were hand wash only.

I absolutely loved my first box and kept everything in it.

Soft stretch skinny jeans, two cotton tops, from Warehouse I think, a beautiful navy maxi dress from their own range, and a blue denim shirt from Mango.

You get the £10 stylist fee back if you buy just one item - plus a further £15 off if you use my code. If you buy the whole box you get 20% off the lot.

I had got in a style rut and it was great to see what someone else had picked for me - although you do get to give them tons of info about what you like and don't like in terms of colours, sleeves, neck shapes, patterns, items you do and don't want and price range.

It worked for me anyway!!

What is the average price of an item? I love the idea but just don’t think I’d be able to afford the things they send.

Report
lockdownalli · 01/07/2020 07:37

@Readysetcake When you set yourself up you set the price range for each type of item. I set mine all at the cheapest. My five items cost £137. This got me Mango and Warehouse level rather than Hush and Mint Velvet.

I was worried as I am a disproportionately busty, mid fifties size 14, but honestly I think the amount of info I put in helped a lot, so don't skip that bit where they are asking you all about your likes and dislikes. Do you like your tops to be tight/regular/loose/oversized etc etc.

It's free returns anyway so.......and you can just cancel the whole thing if you decide it's not for you. Or order boxes on an ad hoc basis. I am set up for three months as I want to see what I get in September for the autumn/winter season.

Good luck! Don't forget to use the code for the £15 off each.
