Are New Look using photos of real people on their website?

Are the new style photos on New Look website real people?

I often think real people look better than the models and often the styling on websites (especially places like Zara and Whistles) actually puts me off buying the clothes.

Are New Look using photos of real people on their website?

Yes, and ASOS now has a whole section dedicated to "models at home". I assume it's where new stock has come in during lockdown and they've had staff or models take snaps at home for the websites. Really good idea in my opinion!

I noticed this on ASOS as well, I think they are getting their models to photograph themselves from home as they are not able to do full photo shoots currently.

Sorry I chose my words badly - obviously models are “real people”.
Can I rephrase that are New Look using people who are not professional models?

I think it’s great & these women look fab, definitely inspiring me more than the usual style model photos

A few companies are looking for people to take pics in exchange for keeping the new stuff. It’s a great idea. Models looking too modelly puts me off. Lots of high street places are using older women too, which I like.

I’d also like to see a garment on a range of women.

I’m a curvy size 10 so seeing it on the usual androgynous size 6 or a size 18 don’t help me. I need to see it on someone (roughly) my size.

Molto tell them to contact me, I'd love to do this for them (wouldn't we all!) Being almost 6ft and size 14 however, I don't think I'm their target market Grin

Pink follow the shops you like on Instagram, that’s where I’ve seen them asking!

Ah thanks Molto I'm not trendy enough for Instagram unfortunately. Wink
Look forward to seeing real people in their clothes though.

The website is so slow, we must all have gone over to have a nosey.
