Hello all. I'm off to see my parents for the first time in two months. I'm going to sit in their garden with them and have a bacon sandwich and champagne as it's my birthday and I don't give a shit about the ridiculous, incoherent rules that benefit the privileged any more. I will see BOTH of my parents and stick my finger up at Boris while I do so.

I'm wearing JM velvet rose and oudh as it makes me feel special but somehow it doesn't feel quite right.

My kids are still in nursery as we're both key workers who can't work from home so 1st June is meaningless to us. I have some sympathy with teachers but have also been having to commute into work every day throughout this, so maybe have shorter shrift than I should (reminder pots: BE MORE EMPATHETIC).

Dh took the kids the to see pil on their garden on weds...don't understand how it's ok to go to b and q with strangers but not see family who have not left the house for 2 months....

Kali - I know, it's a bit like being on a treadmill isn't it? At least when the kids left the house every day there were some hours when mess didn't accumulate and food stayed in the fridge...

MrsPerks & Boglins fantastic reviews. I love that we're all approaching things from very different perspectives.
Sotd was Ffern Spring 2020. I do really like it but it's overwhelmingly woody initially, then quite a while later I get a citrus & an ephemeral Jasmine. The woody elements are starting to overwhelm the Ffern perfumes I feel.
I don't think we've heard from Floofy for quite a while - Anyone?

I'm working my way through the Bloom 'box'. Iris Cendre is lovely but doesn't last.The Vetiver Matale smelt like pine disinfectant, which was okay as I was mostly cleaning up cat sick yesterday.
Today is Black Calamus which is lovely.

Great reviews; Woody sounds right up my street Boglins and I’m intrigued yet intimidated by the idea of buying vintage parfum Mrs Perks.

Had my first 48h off work for 6 weeks, should have been amazing but our 4yo was in full whine/tantrum mode and it would have been quite nice to hand her to DH 😂

SOTD DS&Durga Bowmakers then SOTE Sugi as I needed something uplifting and it is my happy scent.

sorry i havent been around, i havent had much to say as im not allowed out of the house, being in the shielding group suuuuuuuucks. I don't think ive worn any perfume in weeks now and i have no urge to buy any either which is very unlike me as i am the queen of blind buying!
