Jowls :(

I never realised how jowly I am until all these Zoom calls recently....hours spent looking in horror at my saggy lower face. I'm 46, slim and have good skin but OMG the jowls!

Has anyone used facial yoga or massage or ANYTHING to reduce them?

Following! Mine are horrific. It's the only thing I'd pay to have corrected, even though I've got a massive tummy and wrinklesa

@runwithme I know, I would actually pay to sort it! I am generally not that bothered about my appearance as long as I'm neat - I don't spend much on make up or hair and I'm a bit scrawny but I don't really care. But since starting to use zoom all the time....argh! Horror!

Oh god, I thought mine would go once I lost weight! This doesn't give me hope!

I dress to avoid drawing attention to them: no chin length haircut, no high necklines or dangly earrings. Scarves only to ward off the cold, not for decoration. Basically nothing that draws the eye to my jawline.
I find specs are a good distraction and also (and this was a surprise) is lipstick.

Zoom is not the real world, no matter how much it may feel like it at the moment.

Sorry, was trying to keep that post short and it came out a bit patronising - I realise you don't think Zoom is the real world! I just think we're all fixated at the moment on how we look onscreen but no-one else is looking - they're all too busy thinking about their own preceived flaws. I'd be very surprised if much productive work gets done on Zoom.
It's like the first time you hear your own voice, you think 'OMG I sound awful' but no-one else knows what you're on about.

Yesterday I accidentally took a selfie of my face from my lap when I was trying to take a photo of my cat. It was horrific.

I see a benefit to face masks all of a sudden and it's fuck all to do with CV.

(Is that too tasteless? Sorry if so Blush)

Zoom only matters because it's the first time I've had to look at my face properly for more than just a minute. It's only colleagues on the other end and they're a bunch of scruffy IT nerds so I don't care what they think.

Normally I only look in the mirror while I put my moisturiser on and sort my hair out so I haven't paid attention to what I actually look like for a long time!

Re face masks... I did think that lol every cloud and all that

Has anyone tried facial yoga and did it work?
