I want to treat myself to a lightweight dressing gown. Does anyone have one of these? Which one? Are they worth the money?

I have one and I bought my mum one for her birthday last year. I have a feeling that mine isn't technically a dressing gown but a kimono although I wear it as a dressing gown. We both really like them (for context, I'm a size 8/10 and she's a size 16 and they fit us both fine).

I wear the short one as a light top in the summer and I love it. It’s surprisingly durable and I hand wash it (rarely). I may get a longer one as a dressing gown come to think of it...

I have a short kimono I wear as a cover up in the sun to stop my shoulders burning - its lovely and light, doesn't make me sweat. I love it

I have three (two dressing gowns and a mid thigh kimono).

They are beautiful, soft and comfortable, and well worth the money to me.

I’ve got a cherry blossom print and a strawberry print dressing gown, and my kimono is in the moorish-style print.

They look gorgeous!
20% off and free delivery from Within Reason WR. So £60 instead of £75.
I went for the iris dressing gown in grey. But I love the maps ones too.
Just wasn’t so keen on all the tendrils on the Passion flower print although the colours were lovely.
Fingers crossed.

I love mine...I have the Paris map one. I've worn and washed it so much though I think I'm going to have to get another....

I’ve the Paris map too ! So many compliments when I wear it.
I was wondering if anyone has a top by them - it’s like a sewn up kimono ? I’m a bit too heavy so was wondering what the sizing was like (apology for off topic op).

I’m just hanging around the house bored and like them 🙄
You can get kimonos on eBay China/India or go down the road of Toast but these are the middle ground.

@gingersausage 🙄🙄

One Hundred Stars has a lot of satisfied customers for several reasons - they’re lovely quality, fantastic designs that fit a wide range of sizes, and the prints are gorgeous.

I have been looking at these are they meant to be worn around the house as a dressing gown or style with other clothes to wear outside.

The dressing gowns are to be worn around the house I think. The kimonos can be worn as dressing gowns at home or as clothing.

I have a burgundy paisley type print long dressing gown. Love it. Never thought of the kimono style as beach cover up (if we ever get to go on holiday again)

@peachypetite I'm 5'1 and the Paris map one is fine on me, although to go upstairs I have to hoik it up or I trip! No huge inconvenience

I have the Paris one as well - I love it, but only tend to wear it for brief periods as it's quite delicate material - I wouldn't lounge around all day in it for example. It's perfect for taking on holiday as it's so light when you want to waft around on your balcony.

I liked the short kimonos when it was really hot last summer - I wore a silk cami underneath as I don’t like my arms out. I am getting a longer one as I’d like my arse covered as well.

I have one. It is very sheer material. I like to potter in my dressing gown after a shower - with not much underneath. In the light it is definitely much more diaphanous than I'd expected.( I've had silk pyjamas before. )I don't wear it much because I feel it would be better with pyjamas or a nightdress underneath which I don't have. These aren't silk but look and feel just like it.

Washing & drying sounds a bit of a faff.
