Where am I going to shop now?

I know there are lots of threads about oasis and warehouse but I seriously don't know where I'm going to shop anymore. I'm late 30s and feel too old for new look and the like. I know Reiss, boden and lots of other shops are popular on mumsnet but they are a lot more expensive.
I could always rely on oasis for a nice top for a night out or a new dress for work. I really liked their jeans too as being short I'm limited with shops that do jeans in a shorter leg.
Help me ladies of mumsnet, where can I shop now?

I hear you kitkat. I love oasis am gutted its closed. M&S Jean's are ok. But some of the other stuff in there is :(
I loved the summer dresses and tops in oasis and could always find something nice for a night out.
Hobbs is nice but more mumsy or for the office than "sexy". Reiss as you say is £££

I’m in the same boat. Oasis and warehouse were perfect for me. Really not interested in next / M&S etc

I've never really looked in mango, monki or m and co so will check them out. Never have much luck in next or m & s. I genuinely think I'm really going to struggle to buy clothes in future.

Same 😭 new look is childish, topshop is rubbish quality and overpriced, h&m is hit and miss, river island is a bit naff and stuff like boden is mumsy (I am a mum but you know what I mean!).

My go-to shops are Oasis, Miss Selfridge and ASOS. I'm tall, skinny and blonde and don't suit the whole Kardashian/bad girl thing going on at the moment. I like skirts, big shirts over skinny jeans and knitted dresses etc. Nothing too $$ but decent enough it will last a while.

I feel like fashion is going to become either tat from online stores like Boohoo or way too expensive. Such a shame.

I find Mango to be okay but very plain and mainly in neutral colours. Nice for basics and stuff for work but not for anything exciting.

Zara... well I went in there once and some of the clothes were so weird I didnt know how to put them on. I remember one blouse that looked like a giant origami.

Warehouse always do the perfect dress for me. I'm gutted! Are the brand themselves continuing? I read Irish stores arent closing

I really love Mango. I find the quality to be far superior to Zara and it’s fashionable without being to trend led as Zara often is. There is good range of plain/basics but with regular more interesting capsule collections too.

I'm the same, I mainly shop in oasis and warehouse. I sometimes find bits I ASOS.

french connection often has some good bits and pieces.

mint velvet sometimes also - I like MV jeans and some of their jumpers, plus the odd dress and jumpsuit

Zara and H&M jeans are also quite good - I'm not tall and their ankle length embrace (I think?) jeans are a good length on me. Unfortunately they don't last particularly long, but i do wear jeans most days and wash regularly.

Wow I thought they’d find a rescue package.

Says the stock has been bought and some brand rights so not implausible they might pop up online again at some point. I like to go and check things out in person as I live quite close to Oxford Street, online is more of a faff and often a disappointing experience especially as shops can be so vague with their description ‘model is 5 foot 9, do with that information what you will’ and weird photos where they are bending down or have a top tucked in and you can’t see how long it actually is. No dimensions on bags or jewellery, what a lucky dip.

Devastating for the staff and the high street and they were good places to get basics and fashion forward stuff without being cray cray like I find say Topshop. However, the quality had substantially declined in recent years, I ordered a Warehouse cardigan recently and the fabric was cheap and bagging, and you could tell it wouldn’t wash well, whereas I have one from about fifteen years ago that is still going strong.

These shops fall in that middle ground that is losing ground to the likes of Primark and the supermarkets (who often have nice stuff though lots of polyester) or the high end places which promise investment dressing.

In term of where else to shop, agree with Mango. I still have some luck with Dorothy Perkins and online I like Esprit and, increasingly, La Redoute.
