Best shampoo for dry scalp?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some recommendations for a good shampoo, I have had a bit of a disaster with my skin after using the L'Oreal clay shampoo and conditioner for oily roots and dry ends where obviously it combats the oily roots by drying out your scalp to no end.

As a result of using that I'm having such a problem with my scalp being itchy and so dry and very flaky (sorry TMI), I've gone back to my trusted Lush salt shampoo thinking the salt will exfoliate my scalp and get it back to normal as I have used it before and know it works fine with my hair but I'm still having problems!

What are the best shampoos for dry/dandruff hair? I don't really mind if it's expensive as long as it works because this is driving me mad! sad

What about using a co wash or just conditioner for a while op?

@Muminabun oh I hadn't thought about that, I guess now would be a good time to try since no one will see me!

Have you tried using a shampoo brush?
It stimulates the blood circulation of your scalp. Not sure if it works against the dryness but since I started using one, my hair seems to be growing much faster due to what I believe a healthier scalp.

Moogoo is good

I bought moo goo shampoo and conditioner after reading about it on here. I was always scratching my head and the skin on my parring always looked red, but since using the moo goo, no itching!

Body shop ginger shampoo. It’s amazing. Generally shampoos take a while to work if you are looking to solve a particular problem. Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestions! Will definitely give some of them a try smile

I had problems for years with my scalp. Bumble and Bumble seaweed shampoo has worked wonders!
