First bra on lockdown?

One of my teens needs to move from crop stops to proper bras, obvs can't get her measured - any measuring tips and recommended online retailers/brands?

Obviously will be non-wired.

To be honest it's something she would really need to try on (and ideally be professionally measured for a starting point) otherwise the sizing could be completely wrong. Is it not something that could wait a month or so seeing as she can't really go out anywhere anyway?

I had this exact problem with my teen, just ordered a range of sizes (30AA, 30A, 32A etc) and tried them all, kept the ones that fit and will send the ones that don't back

My DD is at this stage too - such bad timing with everything being shut!

I've got her a supportive sports crop top for exercise and hopefully she can manage in her usual crop tops until I get her properly fitted.

Google the Boob or Bust method, easy to do at home, and order the size you get on the measurements plus a size either side.

If it’s mostly for exercise, can you go for a sports bra? As a lot of sports bras will be in sizes S/M/L etc rather than bra sizes.

Very easy to fit and measure yourself using boob or bust.

Tricky thing is getting the right size as not many retailers have really small back sizes which is what most teens need.

Got a selection to try from debenhams and check the first using boob or bust. Not sure if debs still trading or not. M&s do some small cup, small back sizes and bettter not to get measured in store anyway in m&s.

I ordered DD's from Next and M&S. They fit well as far as I can tell but I will of course get her measured once we can visit the shops to make sure.

Tbh I'd order a range of sizes on a catalogue or store account then return what you dont need before you have to pay for it. next should he pretty good.

You don’t need to be measured for a sports bra, to give an indication, I’m a 30 b and wear a small. Measure her back and look at the retailers size guide.

I would probably stick to sports bras (the kind sized s/m/l) until the shops are open again, as their sizing is a lot less precise. It just seems like a lot less work than ordering lots of different sizes and sending them back.

I really need some new bras as my boobs have shrunk, but I'm holding off until I can try them on.
