Has anyone got good things to say about any of the more natural deodorants?

I've tried the crystal Rock types. They seem to work okay. I am currently trying NUUD (again) but I'm still a little stinky.

Have seen some pop up on my Facebook - Wild, Native. I think the Native is from USA though so prob be expensive to mail.

I don't mind sweating as I tend to do so anyway regardless of which anti perspirant /deodorant I use. I exercise a lot so I know I'm going to perspire. Just don't want to smell.

Wash with soap rather than shower gel, that stops the smell. There are quite a few MN threads about it

I use Pitrok and genuinely think I smell and sweat less than when I used Mitchum.

Agree re proper soap, not gel.

Yes, I use a bar of soap in the shower. Have done so for years.

I still think I need a deodorant of some kind. As I said, I do exercise daily. Also am perimenopausal so at times I do smell like a teenage boy.

I use native which is excellent. It is free shipping from USA and I have ordered quite a few times although only order one at a time. If you order a few you get charged duty which to be fair to native they did refund. It is the only deodorant that works for me, have tried so many and I still smell.

I've got a few from the USA, one Tom's, I can't recall the other brands but I haven't tried Native, I'll look into that. I wear mitchum to work and use the others when I'm home. I bought the others primarily for their alternative scents, natural coconut, or herbal or nectarine as opposed to baby powder.

Ah, the other brands were Jason's and Schmidt's. Native looks good but these three other brands are cheaper.

I use drunk elephant sweet pitti. So far, so good.

Driclor is a good one. It prevents perspiration. Then just requires a top up usage every few months, and ordinary deodorant in between.

Lush Aromaco. Been using it for years. Sometimes a DIY with bicarb, coconut oil, cornflour and essential oils.

I use Urtekram from the local health food shop. Really notice if I miss wearing it so assume it's pretty effective.

Like LividLaugh, I use Pitrok and it is excellent! I use the fragrance free version. My 10 year old uses the spray and it works exceptionally well, without it he’s quite ‘whiffy’.

I use Salt of the Earth roll on which I like and buy from H&B.

I've tried loads and always found natural deodorant is only really effective for a few days of use. Same as a PP said above, I find it works well to use Mitchum for work and the natural deodorant at the weekends!

I have been using Native for over a year now and I would highly recommend them. I always buy a pack of three and they ship for free. That lasts me a good 6 months so although it is pricey, totally worth it! And they smell amazing!

OP I use the aluminium free sanex which is pretty good. Have used patrick before too and it's fine.
Would like to try native but the prices are a bit off-putting

Honestly, that sounds so condescending. I've used bar soap my entire 50 years, I've never been one for shower gels or bubble baths (give me thrush) or liquid soaps, but I can still smell sweaty. You said this like it's a total revelation known only to a small group of mners (who clearly invented bar soap about two years ago)

I use Weleda, I still sweat but don't smell. I also find that food affects my smell enormously, sugar in particular (and alcohol!!), When I stick to low carb, low sugar, I smell less.

I used everything mentioned here the only one that works is oda ban and mitchum extra strength.

So, having tried pitrok and found it was rubbish on me I've been using the creamy jar based ones for years now as well as making my own. Two that have stood out were natural deodorant co and soapwalla. Joint favourite with homemade is natural deodorant co as it works brilliantly and usually has a good texture that can easily be picked up with the back of a nail ie not too crumbly or hard at a cool room temperature like Schmidt's or native unearthed, which I found in Holland and Barrett recently by the way.
Sukin comes in a spray bottle so application is especially easy if that's your thing but didn't work too well on my daughter.
Moving away from horrid sprays that didn't work anyway was one of my better life choices :)

I use pitrok in the summer and I find that I sweat less after a couple of weeks. I guess suppressing sweating just makes your bod try harder to produce sweat to cool it'self - sweating freely seems to be beneficial.

I do... This is the one I use. I make it on the hob in a glass bowl over a pan as if you're melting chocolate then pour into an old jar - make sure it's one you can reach the bottom of! I like using lavender oil as we always have that in the house, though the smell is barely noticeable.

I used Nuud for a while, and did like it, but found I needed to apply more often than it said, so every day or so. I switched to Native after spotting it in Holland and Barrett and it is excellent! I'm constantly sniffing myself and marvelling at how not stinky I am! I find it a lot better than conventional antiperspirants I used to use. I was running low recently so have actually made my own now, which has similar ingredients to native, and it's also working really well. I'm sure you're aware already, but remember that switching to natural deodorants does have a bit of a transition period, and things can get a bit stinky for a while, but if you're already using Nuud you've probably had that already

I use Mitchum stick at work but being at home I am using Sanex or Mum deodorants. I don't need an antiperspirant at home but seem to get so sweaty at work.

Nothing works well at work tbh
