like them... i usually make my bum look half the size by wearing a longer top....

2% elastane is always good to.

and they are good price

what are they like on the thighs? I have (comparatively) small hips but mahoosive thunder thighs so can rarely get jeans past my kness unless I buy a couple of sizes too big and belt up tight?

bewilderbeast.. they are quite fitted on the thigh, but there is a bit of stretch to them.. one size bigger might be better ..

Where do they sit lulu? Are they on the waist? I have some really lovely Dotty P jeans that fit nicely on my extensive derriere, but they are low-ish rise and my muffin ain't a pretty picture!

just below the waist, but not quite a hipster

Are they reallyt hat good? I'm a bit about Evans stuff: a lot of their trousers fit me wonderfully in the changing room, but by the time I've worn them for a couple of hours they've stretched and give me a ghastly case of Builder's Bum.

I couldn't keep up with the LOs on the way to school this morning, as I was clutching the buggy with one hand and my waistband with the other!

have never bought any jeans from here before, but as they come with a belt, you won;t have to hold them up !!

I spent hours in town yesterday whilst DD was at preschool looking for a pair of jean..

Not sure if I tried those ones on or not..

But didn't find any that were just right..

All I want is a nice pair of jeans that are above the tummy (you know the old fashioned type) that aren't really really flared and that do in a short arse lengh..

Surely not too hard... oh yes it is

Ended up ordering online last night and hoping that they are ok...

PrettyCandles - agree with you completely about Evans!

I bought a lovely pair of cropped jeans earlier this year, and they fitted me fine in the changing room, but after I'd been wearing them for about an hour they'd stretched massively on the waist and I could take them off easily without undoing them! I took them back to the shop, explained what had happened and asked for a refund - they didn't bat an eyelid. I think it must be a common problem!

Lulu - I'm a different size in every shop, too. It makes it impossible to buy online and is a right pain in the (large) derriere! The worst offenders are Tesco - I can be any one of 4 sizes in their shop alone!

Heifer, passing through M&S the other day, I saw jeans labeled as sitting on the natural waistline. Haven't had a proper look at them, though.

The trouble with belts on below-the-waist trousers is that they're sitting on the widest part, and hav to b hauled in uncomfortably - and unattractively - tightly to have any effect. And my post-babies empty handbag of a belly doesn't help either!

Heifer - Next do high rise bootcut jeans in various lengths. The waist on these is in just the right place for me - I can't really wear anything very low rise. Order online, and you can just send 'em back if they don't fit!
