Are pointy shoes a thing again?

Or did they never go out of fashion?

I’ve spent a few years in just trainers and round toes. I have wide feet so they were comfy but I spotted these on ASOS and really like them.

Any opinions??

They're really nice. I've been wearing pointy shoes to work since the summer. My fat legs look ridiculous in round toes.

Pointy toes give me clown feet sad

RogueV Sun 22-Mar-20 10:23:42

Yea they are

Purplecatshopaholic Sun 22-Mar-20 10:24:20

Go for it, they are lovely. Pointies are always more flattering than round toes I think

SpongeBobJudgeyPants Sun 22-Mar-20 10:24:43

Hmm. My feet are very grateful that for many years I had to wear a very dull sensible uniform shoe. Twas annoying at the time, but. Can't see me going this way, however elegant they look.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles Sun 22-Mar-20 10:26:13

I bet the people who like pointy toes have smaller feet than me.

I've got quite a few pointy flats and they're all very comfortable. I love 'em. I'm a size 7 Muddy, so fairly large of foot!

Drinkandknowthings Sun 22-Mar-20 10:39:02

I’ve got a size 5.5 foot. Which means sometimes I have to size down to 5, sometimes up to 6. I liked buying ‘juniors’ trainers in 5.5 but starting to want to upgrade a bit.

I've always like pointed shoes and wore them when hardly anyone else did. Theyre much more flattering on my short, chunky legs!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants Sun 22-Mar-20 11:21:56

TBF, they are nice shoes in the link, and not the winkle-pickers I had imagined. shows age smile

BeetrootRocks Sun 22-Mar-20 11:25:52

They are nice shoes

I like pointy shoes as I have pointy feet grin - I have a second toe that's longer than my big toe by a fair bit and that seems to make them fit my narrow feet better!

JollyGiraffe12 Sun 22-Mar-20 11:35:42

I love pointy shoes the ones in the link look really elegant - go for it!

BelleharePenguin09 Sun 22-Mar-20 12:04:19

Have always loved them but recently have been doing a brogue thing.

BelleharePenguin09 Sun 22-Mar-20 12:06:02

Better in leather or suede though.

goose1964 Sun 22-Mar-20 22:05:54

I have "Greek toes" and pointed shoes are no good as they squeeze the toes from the sides.

Ikeameatballs Sun 22-Mar-20 22:11:21

I really like those. I wore pointed flats last summer, I think they look fab with a bare ankle.

JaceLancs Sun 22-Mar-20 22:46:35

I have small feet and pointy toes balance my huge legs!

IAmLegendaryExtra Sun 22-Mar-20 22:57:26

@JaceLancs those shoes are super cute smile

willowpatterns Sun 22-Mar-20 23:02:53

They look fine on my feet. I just can't walk in them, which makes them somewhat redundant.

PickAChew Sun 22-Mar-20 23:05:04

Who the hell is going to see your feet to care?

Pointy shoes are dreadful for your feet, anyhow. Treat them well.

JaceLancs Sun 22-Mar-20 23:05:34

Thank you @IAmLegendaryExtra they are Valentino and bright bright pink to match my nails
We all need as much cheer as possible at the moment

Not if they are flats and fit well. I have wide fit pointy toes shoes from M&S (few years old now) and they are supremely comfortable, no toe squashing required!
