Can anyone advise me on my chest skin (with non-dodgy pics)

I've NC'd for this but I've been around S&B for years. I've dipped in and out of the Fantastic Skincare thread but I'm still a bit clueless as to what my skin type is or what I need to do to help my chest skin. All I know is that I don't use any products on my chest at the moment (probably part of the cause Blush) but that my face skin is not anything like my chest skin.

I've posted pics - first one is with a flash and last one is a bit further away - but if it lets you zoom in you'll see that it's sort of bumpy and pigmented. Sometimes I get small blackheads/whiteheads but I shower every day and use an exfoliating glove.

I have some 'proper' Retinol that I got in Spain - would that help? Or should I be trying acids instead?

I really want to fix it especially for the Summer as I've gone back to work this year and don't want to stay covered up in high-necks.

I'd really love any help or advice Flowers.

Sorry, I can't see it too clearly. Normally I'd say see a doctor/dermatologist although that's probably not helpful now. By the sound of it, it does sound like Keratosis Pilaris and the first pic does look like it somewhat. I'd try the Cerave resurfacing face wash in the area and then follow up with the resurfacing body lotion (straight after showering, it's not all that effective if you leave it too long). You can try retrides but you need a high dose on the body for it to have effect and not all KP responds to it and if it's not KP and you have an adverse reaction that isn't helpful right now with accessing a doctor so I'd just try the Cerave route first.

Also, personally I would not use an exfoliating glove. With KP it's generally adviced to chemically exfoliate only as the physical type often aggravates it.

Thank you so much @botemp i didn't realise it could be KP. I've attached another pic but don't know if it will be any clearer.

I will do some online shopping for the Cerave straight away and I'll stop with the exfoliating glove.

Thanks again Thanks.

I get lots of little white bumps on my chest if I use anything but the gentlest of washing powders

@Mumsnut that's really interesting. I switched back from non-bio to a biological powder last year cos I didn't think it was powerful enough for my bed linen.

It never occurred to me it might affect my skin!!

Thank you for replying- needless to say I am trying to distract myself with frivolous stuff Blush.

I use Filetti or Surcare. Good luck!
