Online retailers reliable next day delivery

Hoping you guys in S&B in particular can help with this.

Need to order clothes that will fit me - fat (size 18-20 based on primark sizing) short 5'2, and middle aged

That will be reliably delivered the next day, preferably with a delivery slot I can select or can be reliably tracked.

Basics - leggings, vest tops, tees/long sleeved tees, pants, maybe jeans (I'll likely order one pair first to test fit)

Which online retailers would you recommend?

Also not made of money but they need to last ok too.

Also agree that Asos are a good choice

Do they do larger sizes? I got the impression they were a young/slim persons company

How are they on sizing would you say accurate or small/large?

Next are always reliable for me, you can choose next day delivery or next day collection. Some stuff is questionable but I’m a similar size and a bit taller and find some decent jeans and longer length tips etc

Thank you yes next on my list along with ASOS now.

Who do ASOS use as couriers?

Hush, Baukjen, Boden, M& S, next, all offer ( at a price) next day deceivers and have reasonably easy returns. H&M and mango too but I've been frustrated by returns.

@Graphista I'm reasonably sure they all use Hermes except Boden who are Royal Mail always

Next - if you're ordering other brands eg f&f do next send or does that brand send? Can they still be requested on the specific time slot delivery option?

Also how is the next fit - slim or generous?

I'm looking at what my mother would call "slacks" but they're mostly slim fit and these type of trousers less generous than leggings obviously.

I'm normally a 16/18 in primark dependent on style and stretch.

What would that equate to in next sizings?

Next send. I had a mixed load of stuff from next a while ago ( February) some next, some F&F some Levi and it all came in same bag via hermes.

I've been brave and ordered from next one hour time slot with dpd?

I need to be careful when trying on and make sure I am noting which items don't fit.

I do wish women's clothing sizes were more standardised.

As I say I am a 16 or 18 in primark - but which depends on the style and cut with so many things.

I've mainly ordered stuff that's more forgiving/flexible size wise, leggings, vests and t shirts but that may give me a false idea of next sizes

Ordered trousers too they'll be the item that most accurately gives me how their sizing works for me.

Next send everything so it will all come as one, I find next quite generous sizing to be honest, I know you’ve already ordered but let us know how you get on!

Delivery due this afternoon I will let you all know how I get on once it's delivered AND I've tried everything on.

I did have a small heart attack at the cost - not because it was expensive but because I ordered a lot! And I've not bought myself any new clothes for almost 3 years and had no idea on prices plus as I say I normally shop primark but they don't do online (Coronavirus May change that)

So I was used to £2 for a vest top, £3 leggings, £2.50 for a pack of pants, £5 slacks (and I love their slacks as variety of lengths, I'm not short enough for a petite in other shops but the regular tends to be too long), £8 for a basic dress

But I'm aware the quality from next will likely be better too although I'm usually quite good at looking after my clothes so they do last.

It's here! All items received which was impressive to begin with.

All clean and tidy packaging.

Everything fits.

Sizes are a TINY bit generous but that works for me as I need things loose to put on but fit once on.

The slacks are a tad long but if I still have them if I ever leave the flat again they'd be fine with heels/Boots.

They have lovely good sized pockets too! I hate when women's clothes have crappy tiny pockets.

Oh that all sounds positive!!

Or maybe not if you were planning on returning half of it and now you’ve got decisions to makeGrin

Report
Graphista · 18/03/2020 22:52

Haha no I'm fine keeping it all!

Just it's been so long since I bought clothes for me it was a bit weird. Grin

Much relief it all fits!
