So I'm 45 this year and after taking a selfie, have realised how old and tired I'm looking!
Any advice on brightening/smoother skin.
Got enlarged pores, bags under my eyes 🤔
Or do I just wear a bag over my head! 😂😂

I’ve been using Bobby brown intensive skin serum foundation for 5 years now (a bit older than you). It’s pricey but lasts ages. I use it with nude finish illuminating powder (nude) and bronzing powder (light) for a sort of natural fresh look. I’m quite pale but pinky.
Some people find the foundation shiny but I like the glow !
I’d rather spend the £ on this failsafe trio as they last.
I also wear a primer under (cheap gel one).

I must check out that Bobbi Brown foundation as I'm in the market for a foundation that's good for aging skin too.

I got a free sample of Zelens age control foundation and the only word is ...wow. Someone told me I was glowing the day I wore it. No-one has called me glowing in a while!! If anyone knows where you can buy it, that'd be handy though :-)

Thanks. I'm also going to look at the LED face masks

I found thatsnotmyage.com/expert-beauty-advice/what-a-beauty-editor-keeps-when-marie-kondoing-her-makeup-bag/this quite interesting and it introduced me to a make up artist's range. Vikki Bentley was a beauty editor on one of the broadsheets or Good Housekeeping, I think.

I’m 48. HydraLuminous no7 is fantastic!

54 N7 Hydraluminous is my new holy grail.
I've used everything, including Luminous Silk and all the other spendy ones.
Never again.

Ooh I'll try the no7 one, just looked online at the reviews and mostly all good. Thanks.

Dior forever skin glow. It is like putting on prettiness. I’m 53 and looking a bit ropey till I put my foundation on.

Following! I use bare minerals gel something... it’s ok. I got it because I used to suffer from acne so paranoid about breakouts and it’s mineral based, but feel like I need something more now i’m Approaching middle age!
