Avon stopped doing the Anew gentle cream cleanser I used in the shower so bought Nivea daily facial wash thinking it would be gentle. I now have red inflamed skin all over my cheeks and nose with red spots as well!!! What can I buy that will be super gentle and soothing?

Poor you! I'd go for a non foaming one like maybe Cetaphil cream cleanser from the chemist?

CeraVe hydrating wash. While you are reacting I'd stop using anything for a while until it calms down.

Stop using cleanser and use an all natural bar soap.

Along with a flannel. Just a gentle wash daily. It will exfoliate without being harsh.

Cetaphil is quite gentle. I've bought it in Boots before.

I only ever use lush ultra balm cleanser. I works so well and never irritates me

La roche posay cicaplast cleanser is gentle and healing, and the cicaplast baume b5 cream would probably help the inflammation too. It's good stuff.

I would go with Bobby Brown Cleansing Oil - super gentle, and then Avene Cicalfate rescue cream. Both rescued me when something similar happened and I use them all the time now. The cleansing oil is expensive but I have been a using the same bottle for over a year so cost per use is actually cheaper than most high street cleansers.

ps I woudn't try a bar soap until your skin has healed. They can be quite harsh if you are not used to it, and that won't help!

Oh yes, should have made that clear! Wait for your skin to heal. Don’t put anything on it for now.

La Roche posay do really good gentle cleansers, they’re one of the only brands that don’t flare my skin up.

I only use micellar water now and as long as I use it regularly, I get no issues with my skin at all (as soon as I use anything else or slack off on my routine, I get breakouts).

I use Nivea, but if you're reacting to one of their products at the moment maybe try Garnier?

@MusicToMyEars800 and @CrowleysBentley thank you - I went for the La Roche Posay recommendations and I cannot believe the difference in only 48 hours! Already so much of the red is gone! My nose looks completely different and my cheeks are dying down too. Skin also just feels happier! So thrilled, thank you 😁👍🙏
