Best place to sell Mulberry

I have a large mulberry willow with calf hair but nothing to authenticate it. I'm reluctant to just list it on eBay and hope for the best as I've heard stories of having to refund and loosing the goods etc. Plus as I have no proof it's genuine am I likely to not get as much?

I wouldn't even know how much I would want for it. I think it was about £3k new.

Any advise appreciated!

Mulberry have just started a service where you can take bags into some of their stores, and they will authenticate and offer to buy them from you.

They probably won't give you the absolute best price, though.

Mulberry have just launched a “buy back” scheme called the Mulberry Exchange where if you take it to certain stores they will give you a gift voucher to go towards buying a new Mulberry bag if that’s of any interest? eBay is a bit of a gamble although you can take certain precautions like only allowing buyers with more than 5 positive feedback. Otherwise, depending on condition, Naughtipidgins Nest always have a lot of Mulberry bags if you let the lady sell on consignment for you - but it needs to be in excellent condition.

Finally, I would avoid Vestiaire Collective like the plague; they take a huge commission and they service is slow and shoddy.

There are good Facebook selling pages although I think bags are much slower to sell than before. There’s “addicted to mulberry” and “mulberry buy and sell” the moderators are very good at spotting fakes so its pretty safe to buy and sell.
You can get a certificate of authentication for your bag from places like authentic8 for a small fee.
Mulberry are buying back bags but they will give 25% of original price if you have the receipt - if you don’t have a receipt it’s a bit lower. The details are on the mulberry website . You could potentially get a bit more selling it yourself .

There’s loads of mulberry face book pages if you want I can pm you some of them. Also if you want it authenticating first, theres a company on Facebook called authenticate4u
Who charge £5 and provide a certificate. They are well respected too so would help your sale.

Anyone done the mulberry exchange?? I’ve got a tan Bayswater that’s a bit battered that’s collecting dust, curious to know how much I would get for it to buy a new one.

@Sweetpea1989 I’m popping into Bond Street on Sunday so will let you know - I have two (one battered and one less battered) Alexas (no receipts), three Maples (all in good condition and with receipts) and a Bayswater Tote (with receipt) all gathering dust so hopefully will get enough to go towards a large Amberley.

I keep forgetting about Labels Most Wanted. Probably because once I look I’ll be well and truly hooked.
