My hair has certainly faring worse than my skin presently. Sad
My biggest concern is thinning hair and my scalp seems to be showing through more. Can anyone recommend anything please? I did try some PK tablets, but despite taking with breakfast they made me nauseous, so didn't continue with them.
I'd also appreciate recommendations for improving the ends. I have a short bob, so not too long, I have regular cuts, avoid too much heat styling, use heat protector when blow-drying and use protein treatments. It is coloured at hairdressers, but only every three months. But still the last few inches are in poor condition and look frizzy and straw-like.
All advice greatly appreciated.

I'm in exactly the same position post menopause. I saw a trichologist who advised that the only thing that helps in the Regaine/minoxidil treatment. I've been using the Regaine for Women 5% strength for a year and my hair looks much better. It's a foam you rub on your scalp at night. Also important to have a good diet including enough Iron and B vitamins.

Regaine is aimed at women with androgenic alopecia, a look at the diagram on the box might indicate whether it's worth trying for you, or not.
The closer your hair colour to your skin colour, the less obvious the thinning will be.
Elvive Fibrology shampoo and conditioner might help a bit, as will thickening styling products.
A fringe helps,even a sideswept one.
Flowers OP, my problem is androgenic alopecia and I do worry about losing more as I leave perimenomause.

Thanks everyone. Just been googling Regaine and it says no if you have blood pressure issues, which I do. Sad

Viviscal tablets? Regular head massage. Do you wear big scarves, I wonder if your hair rubs on something on a regular basis and it aggravates the dry and split ends. Use a silk pillow to minimise hair damage. Diet is equally helpful: nuts, bone broth, fish, fish oil. Stop using any kind of heat on your hair and see if that helps. Or a Dyson hairdryer (a bit extreme, I know, but it is gentler than the rest). No hot water, try warm instead if you can bear it.
