M&S jeans-tell me about them please!

Morning all!
I always struggle to find jeans that fit properly. I’m in river island molly joggings at the minute that fit really well. I went in last week to get some more of the same but different colour but they gaped on the back, I was so frustrated! Top shop also gape on the back.
I was looking at the m&s site last night and can’t believe how well priced they are. Question is, are they any good? Do they wash ok? I hate jeans that go baggy after half hour of wearing them.
Thanks all!

I don't have any of their new range but every body says how great the are. Someone I know has the new skinnies in every colour and says they wash brilliantly. An instagrammed I follow based in Ireland posted this one day which I kept as a reference to size and style

Yes. I often get jeans from M and S. Someme styles do have a habit of shrinking though - in length as well as girth.

I've got a pair of Lily and a pair of Sienna. Both great. Marginally prefer the Sienna as I'm a size 16 and they are an incredibly flattering cut. The black ones are smart enough to wear as work trousers.

Second M&S Jean's post in two days. I am very fond of M&S but can't help wondering if this is stealth marketing.

Rogue apostrophe there, sorry.

I love the Harper cigarette shape and the coated skinnies are amazing.

If you like skinny jeans you should try the Tesco F&F contour jeans. Best ones ever! And you can get them on next online

I've got the jeggings and a few pairs of jeans but I'm not sure the style. They're a perfect fit. They are spot on n length too. I also like the fact that they have washed well and even the black ones haven't faded.

Promise I don’t work for them! I’ve been on here for years but recently changed username as I’ve posted a few pictures of myself (hair style) and don’t want to be outed so using this name.
I’ll give them a try then, I’ve never really shopped in there before for myself.

I only buy jeans from there now. So comfy, wash well, fit perfectly.

I had some a couple of years ago. They fitted well but were quite thin so not as warm as ones I've had from Gap and then wore through at the inner thigh (my fat legs) very quickly which was disappointing.

I tried on the Lily the other day and like them, also the only M&S jeans that I don’t have to size down in.

Autograph jeans are very good quality but a bit more expensive and they don’t do consistent styles just a couple of jeans per season.

I don't like the pre-distressed ones.

They do fit well — I'm wearing high-waisted super-skinnies — but these have no front pockets, which took a bit of getting used to.

Maggie, that's where mine tend to go as well! Different sizing doesn't help, so I'm putting it down to doing lots of walking in them. Grin

I have a pair of their skinny jeans and like them but I do think it's those that have shrunk on the length. I second Tesco Contour jeans. High waisted so flattering fit on and standard length is good. Wash well too.

Somebody posted about the M&S magic jeans the other day. I’m going to check them out when I next need to purchase some.

How do the boyfriend M&S ones look? How baggy? I have a ‘good bum’ and chunky enough legs, so I don’t like skinnies on me but I would love to get a nice pair of boyfriend jeans.

strictly I saw that post about the magic jeans the other day and am intrigued too!
I have these, the mom ankle grazers and they are brilliant, although whether they’d work for you would depend on your shape. I’m an hourglass and they actually fit! They also wash well and are a bargain. I’ve had quite a few compliments on them from friends and colleagues and they are surprised they’re from M&S. I’ve got them in the light and indigo denim.

@MaggieFS they say they have had a total overhaul to deal with stuff like that and they are getting good reviews from people who say they are not paid to say it

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams I don’t like pre distressed ones either. River island all seem to have rips in the knees now too, far too cold in this weather!!
