Cropped wide leg trousers - still on trend?

Picked up a pair of these in a charity shop. Lots of people were wearing them last spring - summer - autumn with flat sandals, trainers.

Still on trend for this spring?! I can easily alter them to a slimmer leg if not.

What colour?

I don’t think they’re on trend per se, but they won’t look out of place during spring. I think the trendy option is cropped wider leg jeans eg white straight leg/mom jeans that are ankle grazers

I love a wide leg crop, me. And they are still all over the shops so don't see them going out of fashion quite yet

They'll be around for a while yet, nice and cool in the summer for a start plus they're really flattering.

MaJoady Mon 03-Feb-20 22:48:48

Yep, definitely. I'll be getting mine out again as soon as it's warm enough!

These are the trousers

They may still be somewhat fashionable but they are one of the most unflattering garments out there. I think they make everyone's legs look really short. But I'm not wearing them you are and if you like them who cares of they're on trend or not?

They're gorgeous and look great on you. I think the reason you're not seeing them around at the moment is that it's too chilly still! Wait until bare ankle weather.

Thanks @MontanaSkies . It’s not a look I have tried before so was a bit unsure, but the trousers are Jigsaw, brand new for £7 so couldn’t resist grin

I am really struggling to find a pair of full length trousers, so the cropped look is still disappointingly on trend - I really do not want to but another pair - they are so unflattering, you really have to be careful on you style them.

CatherineTheNotSoGreat Tue 04-Feb-20 18:07:50

Really like them on you and I LOVE the jacket.

zippyswife Tue 04-Feb-20 18:10:00

You look great. And stylish

moochew Tue 04-Feb-20 18:34:19

Just see your pic and you look brilliant in them - let me rephrase my earlier comment! "I have to be careful how I style them"! grin

I am a big fan of a wide leg crop. The trick is to wear something fitted on top, or that sits just on the waistband. Cos do the best ones for my shape, but those look fab on you.

My top tip is knee-high socks underneath in winter.

dudsville Tue 04-Feb-20 21:40:23

My top tip is cropped tights underneath!

They look lovely and are very useful to dress up or down in my experience.

They look great! What a bargain for £7 too.

Thanks for the lovely comments

You look great OP. Like the sort of effortlessly cool person who doesn’t have to care if she’s fashionable envy

managedmis Wed 05-Feb-20 21:19:57

Yes they're fine. I have a khaki green pair that I wear with a tucked in shirt, belt and black heels.

Cropped tights????

Annasgirl Thu 06-Feb-20 14:15:50

They are fabulous on you - and look so on trend but also stylish.
