Problematic salon

This is my own fault for going back Sad

Visited a very popular/pricy salon for 2 years. They are the talk of the town in my area. At first they were amazing but standards have slipped. Eg they get my back/clothes wet when washing my hair, got bleach/hair dye on my clothes, permanently dye staining the back of my top (even though I’m wearing gown & towels etc), left hair dye on my forehead and in my ears after, once left conditioner in my hair after rinsing, so it had to be re-rinsed. Just generally shoddy.

I have only complained twice. First was when I asked for a trim and the stylist took 3 inches off, and secondly when my colour didn’t turn out as expected. With the colour, I had to pay out of pocket to sort it!

I think because of the 2 complaints they have me down as difficult, which is why I didn’t complain about the smaller things.

Anyway just left the appointment and the colourist “bumped” up my colour without my consent, so it’s darker than what I wanted and they also cut too much hair off again. I’m hesitant to complain again because I think they’ll be rude/dismissive. WIBU to file a chargeback with my bank and just get a refund, and never return?

I’d either ring up and complain or cut my losses and never go back.

I would of said something then and there before you left.
To be honest, I'd just leave it now and never return. I certainly wouldn't be recommending them to anyone. What shoddy service.

I don't think you should do a chargeback without complaining first. I would just never go back and recommend against if anyone asks.

Why the hell did you go back after two crap experiences!?

Don't ever go back ! If you can then leave an honest review somewhere as well so other people know about them. I agree with other poster that it's probably best to complain directly or just put it down to experience.

Don’t feel comfortable posting photos unfortunately!

The thing with the length of my hair is that she very tightly curled my hair after the cut, practically pin curls, so the length was disguised. It’s only when I got home and straightened it I noticed the true length difference. I asked for a slight wave🙄 she probably overdid the curl on purpose because she knew she cut too much off.

They have an absolute no refund policy once you leave the salon, and I don’t want them touching my hair again, so i think it’s pointless to complain again. I realise that to file a chargeback I need to contact them first so I guess I’m just writing the cost off!

If you knew which salon this was you’d be shocked, they are very well regarded

@Rachelfromfriends1 hope you get it sorted somewhere else. The fact that they are well regarded is all the more reason to leave an honest review. You can do this anonymously. In my opinion a reputable hairdresser would not have an "absolute no refund policy " after you leave the salon as some things you don't notice till you get home or perm doesn't last etc.
