Usually the wokest of publications, The Guardian are today advocating just binning our dirty make up brushes and buying new ones instead. They also deleted a comment querying the independence of the writer given the highly surprising stance she was taking.

Theres such a push in using what we've got and being green now im surprised.
Brushes are easily cleaned and can be used for years! Mine are cheap but my sister uses outrageously expensive ones she saved a long time for and the idea that they should be chucked would make her actually cry

Washing brushes is so quick. I wash my eyeshadow blending brush and Beauty Blender daily. I never understood why people let them get so dirty and then use them on their face.

I use my old uncomfortably harsh make up brushes to clean my computer, to oil vegetables before roasting etc. etc, NEVER throw them away.

What IS the Guardian thinking about? Maybe they're using 'work experience' juniors now.
