Aussie has changed formula, need a new shampoo

I have used Aussie Mega shampoo for years now and my hair loved it. They’ve now changed the formula and it’s like using Pantene Sad please can someone recommend a good shampoo that doesn’t leave my hair feeling limp and dry. Mega shampoo used to be good, it felt squeaky clean but the conditioner did a great job of moisturising at the same time. Now I’m sad and so is my hair!

Oh no OP. I bought some the other day and noticed the packaging has changed. Yet to use it as just coming to the end of my old bottles. Like you, I've used it for years. This is rubbish.....

I use Aveda Pure Abundance shampoo, they also do one called Invati which is for thickening hair. I tend to buy a litre bottle from Look Fantastic whenever it's on offer and that lasts for a year so the cost works out about the same as supermarket shampoo. For conditioner I alternate between Phyto and one that I get from the local health food ship that I can't remember the name of (sorry).

I buy the big salon bottles of Tigi from amazon... no idea if they are ‘good’ for your hair but leave mine feeling really nice

Try Head&Shoulders for Men shampoo with caffeine. It’s actually given my lifeless hair some body!

Have you tried Aldi’s version of Aussie? It smells the same Smile

Whatever Phillip Kingsley one matches your hair type.

Ah yes I think they must have changed the formula of their conditioners too as my hair was shit after using it the other day. Only just bought the bottle.

I’ve splashed out on Kerastase now (as I was continually buying cheap shampoo and conditioner then throwing them away). Amazing but pricey.

Controversially I've just started using a bar soap shampoo from Soul and Soap and I love it! Really nice scents and an extremely clean, glossy and light finish to the hair.

If you live in a hard water area (like London) it takes a few goes to get the amount of lather right but it's really worth it.

I'm a performer and my hair is everything- I was really nervous to try it but I'm not going back now.

I checked the other conditioner that I use, it's Insight for dry hair.

Also, you are absolutely right to trust the judgement of black coffee drinkers over others. Those latte drinkers lie so much they don't even know what the truth is.

I’ve noticed the conditioner and reconstructor seemed odd! I bloody knew it!!!

I go between Aussie.L’Oreal Professional Absolut Repair (on Amazon, huge bottle) or Olaplex 5 and 6.

Thanks everyone- I’ve got a lot of options here now so will give them a go!

You could try the Lidl version of Aussie, that's really good.

I have come across this thread because I also noticed the formula has changed. The shampoo seems ok, but my hair is crispy which tells me that the reconstruction has changed.

I have very thick wavy hair and very sensitive skin so cant use most brands as my face flares up. What would you guys recommend?
