Slippers - good quality but not too expensive

Looking for a gift for DM - she likes slippers..

I want to buy her some which are comfortable, a bit stylish, warm with a grippy sole. I like the UGG style mules but I don't really want to spend more than £40

Anyone seen any thing similar?
Costco have some which I saw in store a couple of weeks ago, but of course they are now sold out.

How would she feel about Hotter? These fit your requirements but I realise Hotter might not be your or her thing.

20% off takes them below your budget too.

Good call Turnip

She is a youthful 71 so I think she'd like any of the colourways actually.

Thank you - they are definitely in the running (I quite like them myself!)

Moshulu for sure. I get through slippers at an alarming rate because I wear them so much.

My Moshulu pair I have had for nearly a year and show no signs of falling apart or wearing out. I'm on maternity leave do at home all day every day so wear them all the time!

I've got these from John Lewis and they are hands down the best slippers I've ever had. Mine were reduced, so might be worth watching out over the next few weeks.

Aldi usually do sheepskin ones around this time of year and they are brilliant. The sole might not be so grippy.

These are the Aldi ones. Last year they were in stock around the end of November www.aldi.co.uk/avenue-ladies%27-sheepskin-slippers/p/085065235621100

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I wish I'd picked up the Costco slippers when I was last in there.

Next look good plus DM can easily return them herself if unsuitable.

I have these, sooooo comfy (as comfy as the Uggs - I've tried both) and they go in the washing machine.

I love Moshulu slippers. I like how they are sturdy and a little bit raised. Meaning I can actually walk in them as opposed to shuffle around. And I feel safer wearing them on the stairs

Aldi do their ugg fakes in store on Sunday. You'll have to get there early as they always sell out but they are amazing value www.aldi.co.uk/ladies%27-sheepskin-slippers/p/018060313951900

Just for a totally different suggestion and I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I've worn the same pair of lined winter crocs for the last ten years. They're warm, non-slip, easy to go up stairs and show no sign of wear! Plus I can nip out in the garden/car in them.
