Do you really think it will catch on ? I would imagine that they would be useful in very cold weather but otherwise I think I will stick to the sock monster at the bottom of the laundry basket. Cant see my two in these

I kind of do the same as CD but I have visions of 10,000,000 black socks in my washing as the dsses get older, all in different sizes so I won't be doing it forever.

It's bad enough dealing with tights on a girl. Why would anyone want to go through that trauma if they didn't have to?

OMG I did this last winter with ds. He constantly pulled socks and shoes off and this was the only way to keep them on. We have a Swedish kids clothing shop in the local shopping centre and I bought stripey, red and navy tights. Worked brilliantly!

my brother used to wear tights- I have photographic evidence. I sem to recall they were dark green or navy ribbed nylon (we're talking 40 years ago)!

You can't half buy some useless baby shit these days.

What was that wooden tube thing for children to stand at the kitchen counter with you?

Boys' tights.

Sheesh.

I have been using tights for my two DS' for years.....nothing new. Not useless at all, it is difficult to get tights in appropriate colours sometimes.

Ask your son first before you buy him tights. That's m y advice.

In Germany it's quite common for boys to wear tights.

You get discussion on message boards a la "Should I let my boy run around in tights only or does that look too girly-ish?"

Mercy · 17/08/2007 17:56

lol!

I have put dd's old tights on ds when it has been very cold and we are out and about.

Sherbet, Mothercare, M&S etc all do navy blue or black tights in small sizes.

pointydog · 17/08/2007 17:58

so it's common to wear tights but everyone thinks it's girly?

Report
emkana · 17/08/2007 17:58

Doing well, thanks for asking! New pics in my profile btw!

No Seb hasn't got any, didn't really see the need in this country where the temperatures aren't exactly arctic.

What they worry about is whether it's okay for boys to wear the tights without trousers on top, eg at nursery after coming in from outside.
