Where would you be wearing it?

The dress could look great with a different cardi, non fishnet tights and different boots or shoes.

The boots and tights are a definite no, irrespective of age!

You look fab! But I'd switch the tights for a solid colour (maybe nice woolly ones??) as personally I think fishnets look awful on pretty much everyone.

I think it looks ace!! If I saw you in the street I'd get envy and probably go and order some chunky boots!!

Have you got a link to the dress? If we can see it better we can suggest how to dress it. That and I quite fancy an orange dress myself!

Sorry but to me you look like you've thrown on a load of random items. The cardigan doesn't work at all and the boots and fishnets combo is bizarre.

change the tights for solid colour or maybe try the smaller hole fishnets.

Actually I don't mean a solid colour, just solid material so patterned would be fine - just not fishnets

Solid tights, not fishnnets, otherwise it’s fab. Dress is too short for fishnets.

It’s a bit random. The tights stand out particularly but also the shoes and cardigan

Dress looks like a good start though

Looks great! I love it when people dress with a bit of individuality - so much more interesting than jeans and a jumper!

Definitely swap to thick tights. The fishnets don't work.

Theres the dress and boots ...I need to go buy woolly tights

Boots should be black, cardigan is hideous, short black leather jacket, solid tights, good start though.
Boots are like builders boots.

Charcoal opaque matt coloured tights would be better might tie it all together better

The tights don’t work with the outfit and they make your legs look chunky (although they aren’t). Love the orange!

Sorry but I love my cardy Blush it's a M&S Classic from a charity shop it's so comfy Blush it's like that silky wool stuff with a big chunky knit and never needs ironing Grin

You have good shaped legs, so dress length is fine, and I like the colour. You need to wear that dress with confidence, and your granny cardi screams the opposite- it’s a beige apology/coverup for an area that you think you need to hide. The boot idea is good, but drag it out of the nineties with some Fly London Black or ox-blood or purple ones ( You’re only 29!!)- those boots are too Timberland, Checked shirt sort of a look. Hate the tights, sorry!

Just because you love it doesn’t mean wear it with every outfit 😉
No point in a nice dress to swamp it with a woolly shapeless rug 🙄 the cardigan is unflattering, hides you and your dress.

I love your cardy and I love the outfit but not together. Let's see it without the cardy.

It’s not easy putting yourself on the internet for judgement. I would have chosen opaque tights and probably black boots or shoes (actually I try to keep the colours the same so grey tights with grey boots and black tights black boots etc) but I’m bloody ancient in comparison - 49. If you love it I think you should wear it.... there will always be someone who thinks you should wear a nice court shoe!

Most of us have a cardi like that, but we keep it for private Wink

A cable knit cardi in a more definite colour, navy for instance, would look better.

And a less clompy boot.
