Sad looking lady garden

REALLY not sure about posting this (hence the name change!)...but I have googled how to address this and...oh god the replies 😂

Basically I have always had a fairly healthy, full bush, and since I hit my late thirties/early forties, it’s become somewhat depleted and sad looking. Like a very chilly old man who could do with a hat.

Short of a combover or merkin 😂 is there anything I can to to restore it to its former glory? I’ve never waxed/shaved/tinkered with it in any way but I’m not sure what I can do about it. Weirdly and yet also typically, this is not a problem in any other area of my body, I have very dark hair and most of the winter I look like a bear.

Sorry if this is totally the wrong place but it seems the rest of the internet thinks having pubic hair is very wrong and so why you’d want more seems baffling.

Help!

Hmmm dunno ... conditioner? That castor oil stuff people use for growing thicker eyelashes?

But I believe it does get thinner as we age

I'm weirdly envious of your previously glorious bush - mine has always just but scraggly.

Can I send you some of mine? I have enough to share! Grin

Hmm. Mines going grey which is annoying. There's still quite a bit of it though. But definitely not as luxuriant as once was. (placemark)

You need a pubic toupee. Or extensions.

I sense a gap in the market here. Grin

As you get older it starts to escape down your thighs

I'd suggest hairdye - Just For Men is highly recommended Grin

At high school a guy in my class dyed his pubes blue. I know this because he showed the whole class when the teacher was out of the room. So I can confirm that hair dye definitely works on pubes!

I'm 90% sure there is nothing you can do to solve it. I imagine it's just the aging process? Genetics? I personally would simply trim it so that it looks less patchy but if you tend to embrace the natural look then I guess you need to embrace the natural look as you get older too!

I imagine that this definitely not the kind of problem that you'd want to Google...

eBooks really really not 😯

Bush update: I found a bottle of caffeine shampoo I bought for my husband to shut him up about his receding hairline, so I gave that a whirl this morning. I also gave it a little trim to encourage its natural curl and bounce. Will report back!

A shampoo and set should add some root lift.

I was looking in my full length mirror this morning and thinking exactly the same thing re thinning bush underneath c section overhang. Escaping down my thighs made me actually lol! So true. Always wondered why thinning hair in some areas is accompanied by extra hair in unwanted places ie. Face, chin, boobs and thighs.

Anyway, no solutions but you're definitely not alone.

Oh OP no solutions but sympathy. I remember a funny sketch Jenny Eclair did about this problem on ‘As Yet Untitled’.

I hope you find a solution! I am also fond of my bouncy bush but as I get older I fear it’s getting less bouncy. We may be an endangered species...

Just colour it in with a sharpie.

Yes, or you could probably get those permanent tattoo things people do on their eyebrows. Won't be bouncy but at least not baldy patches.

These are all phenomenal suggestions, I may have to try them all. I particularly like the leopard skin merkin for a luxury look and feel, but Sharpie would be an economical and durable solution.

You need to get some of this Grin

Seriously though get your iron levels checked out as hair loss in women is often a sign of low iron levels or low vitamin B12. I know hair gets thinner as we get older but it not necessarily just down to age.

You can get a dye but if it is sparse that's not really a help . With ageing and menopause it gets even worse . I get what I have left totally waxed off.
