Comfortable winter shoes / acceptable alternative to Uggs

After a summer in flip flops my feet are like sickly baby birds that can’t handle any pressure from shoes. I bought some pull on trainer type things and they’re just so uncomfortable, my feet are like the princess and the pea 😂

I’ve recently injured my foot and have been wearing flip flops in this weather because everything else hurts / doesn’t fit due to swelling.

Was considering Uggs but I know everyone hates them. Is there anything as comfortable that won’t have people grimacing at my feet? To be honest I don’t care that much, but maybe there’s some brilliant alternative I’m unaware of!
