Help me find trousers please!

I'm 5'3" and a size 12 and need to lose a stone. I have bowel issues and am bloated all the time so hate anything higher than my navel. I have chunky thighs and feel thoroughly depressed at trying to find nice clothes. I don't feel comfortable in dresses or shirts and tend to live in hoodies and jeans except I've now only got my cropped summer jeans. I'm out and about on foot most of the day and need comfort along with practicality. Any ideas for this lost cause?

What sort of trousers do you want?

Are you after recommendations for jeans? I know many posters would say Hush harems are the business but I’ve not tried them and they might not be the sort of thing you want.

Sorry, I should have been more specific but basically an alternative to jeans. Everyday wear that can be dressed up or down if I wish.

Leather culottes? M and S have some fake leather ones, low to mid rise that you can dress down with trainers or dress up with heels.
Don’t beat yourself up! Size 12 is slim! Maybe with an oversized cashmere (esque) jumper

I recently bought some wide leg crops in Cos. I'm a 10-12 but quite a chubby tum and often feel bloated - these sit at belly button but are super flattering and dress up with ankle boots or nice flats, and down with cool trainers.

H&M have some nice low rise jeans and leggings at the moment that sit on the hip and sizes are leg and waist inches with a lot of choice. They also have stretchy trousers that look good but they sell out really quickly.

Are you looking for skinny leg style trousers or something wider?

M&S do very comfortable trousers. I'd just look at longer tops and jumpers to cover the lumpy bits.

You could try Lucy & Yaks, although they're mostly high rise, they have a good selection of trousers that can look smart that have elasticated waistbands. I've got a pair of Lauries that I'm loving just now, brushed cotton, so reasonably warm, and the pattern is fairly smart.
