M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2019

Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

If you do want to know the full contents you can find them over at ReallyRee (SPOLIERS!).

Please don’t discuss the contents ahead of time on here as most people don’t want to know (or as in my case, read then forget!).

I think I’ll get this. I got it last year and I think it’s really good for the price. I was tempted by one of the more expensive ones but thinking of getting myself a FabFitFun subscription instead!

Do iiiit!!! I loved it last year. Although honestly, I think I loved the thread on it here as much as I did the actual calendar. Great discussion plus swaps going on.

Besides, who doesn’t love miniature beauty products? (As my husband says, I’m such a sucker. Blush).

I'm in!
I think it goes on sale slightly earlier this year.

It’s a seasonal subscription service a bit like glossybox or Birchbox except its a lifestyle box and for about £40-50 you get a mix of beauty, fitness and lifestyle stuff worth around £200. The Autumn box is now half price but I thinking of spending £200 on year’s worth of stuff I might use rather than an expensive advent calendar.

Still thinking of getting the M&S one though as it’s relatively cheap!

I got my first one last year and have continued to buy some of the products. Very impressed and will be getting one again this year. Look forward to this thread!

I'll be getting one again! I walked in and got one in store last time and will do the same.

I wasn't sure on the perfume this year, does anyone know what it's like?

I'm really tempted this year, be a good way to try different products as I'm in a bit of a rut

I got swept away by the hype a couple of years ago and ordered one on Click and Collect.

I got down one floor from the collections desk, saw a huge pile in the beauty department, and turned round and took it back. Seeing them all stacked up there made it lose its glamour for me!

So clearly, I am out.

I’m in! I dithered last year and once I’d made my mind up they had sold out 😂

I really loved my M&S one and it is brilliant value! I've plumped for the Fortnum & Mason one and am so excited Smile

@Babymamaroon - jealous! Wink

I think I’m going through stages with my calendar buying: I started tentatively last year and just had M&S. This year I’ve ordered two so far with at least another (M&S) in the works.

I suspect next year I’ll bite the bullet and go for one luxe. (And not tell the hubby!)

Marking my place! We have a reward scheme at work and I have been saving my points to convert into M&S vouchers. Really enjoyed the thread and the calendar for the past couple of years

I'd definitely like one. The contents look great.

I have had it the last two years and LOVED it! A quick glance at this years contents and I’m initially underwhelmed - there are a few I’ve got and not used.

I really didn’t like the Shay & Blue perfume last year and got a second one too in another box! So I’ve got one unopened and one that’s had a single spray. If anyone wants to swap let me know! I’ll happily bundle one up with four surprise items from various beauty boxes (all in last 12 months so nothing ancient) in exchange for one agreed item and four surprises from advent calendars/ beauty boxes!

Report
Butterymuffin · 25/09/2019 18:50

Meak I would like the perfumes, and I have a box of items I have had this year in beauty boxes that I don't want! I would happily do you a 'surprise' box.

I have to say I really like the Shay & Blue perfumes! I'm quite tempted to get the M&S one I must say.

Hubbies don't need to know the intricate and minor details such as cost do they? Wink

I'm in two minds whether to get it or not.
The M&S 2017 calendar was great but I'm not so sure about this one.
I think most of the advent calendars this year seem a bit meh.

I loved the thread last year, and was so surprised at the products in the box - expected them all to be Magnolia and Peach Blossom bath stuff!

I loved the M & S calendar so much in December, DH bought me the JL one for Christmas, and I opened it throughout January. It was so lovely to have something to bounce out of bed for on those cold morning! Grin
