Time to start a new thread

KiteflyingKat Sat 26-Oct-19 13:33:35

Have to say I prefer the photos of actual people rather than just photos of clothes- different people carry things so differently.
Need to get brave and post of photo myself, but I never wear anything interesting .....

KiteflyingKat Sat 26-Oct-19 13:30:41

MrsG can I just say it’s amazing how stylish you look to say you have a newborn! I was in PJs 90% of the time.....

Whatsitlike Sat 26-Oct-19 13:06:26

Slob day for me too, England rugby sweatshirt from New Zealand (get in with a fab win) and a pair of loose cotton baggy trousers from India and a pair of Birkenstock slippers TKmaxx and thick socks from Japan, but at least I am colour co-ordinated in red white and blue!

WhoKnewBeefStew Sat 26-Oct-19 12:47:36

Bought some new leggings from Tesco. Wow what a revelation, shapers type, thick, warm, don't sag at the knees or arse and do hold my wobbly bits in. All for about £15. I'll be going back and getting more I think. I've paid way more than that for leggings that are a lot worse quality.

So I'm wearing those and a big baggy jumper! Slob day for me

happytobemrsg Sat 26-Oct-19 12:39:51

Day at home today. Was up all night checking on DC temperatures so I’m knackered.

Sooverthemill Sat 26-Oct-19 09:55:42

@NancyEspana the dog is old (11 tomorrow) and he is probably simply showing signs of old age. Possibly kidney issues ( ever tried collecting a urine sample from a dog? Not recommended) and gastro issues too. So he's getting lots of TLC and a special diet for a few weeks to see if he improves. He spends a lot of time in the younger dogs crate hiding away or else with his head in my lap staring at me!

happytobemrsg Sat 26-Oct-19 09:53:24

@Sooverthemill those leggings look nice & so cheap for Mint Velvet. I have Next ones but if you order these let me know how you get on. I’m on the look out for some high waisted super stretchy/comfy ones

NancyEspana Sat 26-Oct-19 09:30:37

Ah thanks so much both!

Here I am ready for my travels!

Gap girlfriend jeans, Gap jumper, Mountain Warehouse t-shirt, Asos flatform trainers, Tiffany charm bracelet, (11 years old), bracelet from my mum (6 years old), charity shop necklace.

Everyone in jeans today! Lovely outfits.

@sooverthemill I really like those Mint Velvet trousers. They look really versatile and easier to wear / style than the high shine, patent looking ones.

Also, how is your dog doing?

Sooverthemill Sat 26-Oct-19 09:04:14

@NancyEspana have a great holiday ( I think sahm are never on holiday!).
@Softpebbles I agree with @Ellapaella.

Today I had to take photo in spare ( junk) room so apologies. My iPad is booked for repair so this may be last post for a few days!
Tshirt: last years Hush
Boyfriend jeans: hush ( quite old but I love so bought a identical pair in sale last year)
Trainers: dune last year
Spare room decoration: DH

Question: pleather leggings/coated jeans. Anyone got a pair from mint velvet? I randomly saw [[ www.mintvelvet.co.uk/product/Black-Faux-Leather-Leggings/23410 this pair]] on Instagram and I kind of li,e them. I have no coated jeans or leather trousers. Too many close shaves in the 80s!

Talisin Sat 26-Oct-19 08:24:35

pebbles Agree with Ella on the oversize black jumper. Slogan knitware also works surprisingly well. If you want to tuck in then I’d recommend a wearing a slip otherwise you tend to get lumps. Footware-wise, with mine I either wear long boots - so no leg on view at all - or ankle boots with thin black tights. I would also happily wear skin colour tights (but wouldn’t generally admit to it on MN as they’re loathed around these parts).

Nancy hope you have a lovely holidaysmile

Working Saturday but the boss is away so it should be fairly relaxed.

NancyEspana Fri 25-Oct-19 19:12:55

Thanks softpebbles! It's a lot brighter than I normally wear.

I like the casual looks today. I am officially on holiday...except that I'm a sahm, which means I'm always on holiday, or never on holiday, depending on your perspective thlgrin. Whatever, we are off on holiday tomorrow morning and DH is off work today.

I've really enjoyed packing for this holiday. I'm sure this thread and the plus size one are helping me navigate my wardrobe a bit better.

mrsg, that Peppa house is amazing. I daren't show a picture of that to my dcs, or they'll definitely be wanting one!

RiskIt4Biscuit Fri 25-Oct-19 18:21:46

Thanks happy smile

Today, I’m in burgundy Wolford Estelle faux leather leggings and an oversized cable knit beige jumper from Pieces via Asos
When out also white Superga trainers and barolo medium Bottega Veneta Olimpia bag.

happytobemrsg Fri 25-Oct-19 15:46:46

I’m super scruffy today. Took DS1 to docs for his final vaccinations. Going to spend the rest of the day playing with his new giant Peppa Pig house

Softpebbles Fri 25-Oct-19 15:06:43

Great pattern Nancy! I’m having a Jeans day too Soover.
Hush star jeans, jack wills T-shirt under gap jumper. Superga’s

NancyEspana Fri 25-Oct-19 12:15:05

@sooverthemill

I think it is actually a children's wear brand, but they also do adult sizes! Hence the slightly childish print grin.

Sooverthemill Fri 25-Oct-19 12:05:18

@NancyEspana I like the dress, not heard of that brand before

NancyEspana Fri 25-Oct-19 10:32:07

Oh I rather like that @sooverthemill!

Here I am in my Duns of Sweden dress and Snag tights. I don't think the dress is very flattering on me tbh, but I LOVE the print and it was an eBay bargain. I'm trying to decide what cardi / jumper and shoes...

Sooverthemill Fri 25-Oct-19 10:20:45

I'm trying to work out how dropped wide leg jeans might fit into winter so trying this today. Not sure at all but at least I'm not leaving the house!
Top: Hush last winter
Jeans : fatface
Trainers: Adidas samba still wearing in!
Rubbish photo too sunny

evilharpy Thu 24-Oct-19 20:11:52

Mid wash straight leg jeans from George, cuffed to just hit the top of my boots

Black polo neck

Lace up boots that look similar to DMs but have a lovely sheepskin lining. Brand is RJs fuzzies (from TK Maxx)

Gold circle dangly earrings

Not winning any style awards today.

Ellapaella Thu 24-Oct-19 20:06:08

Lovely skirt pebbles. I think a nice soft oversized black jumper would look great with that skirt for casual wear with biker boots (or similar). A silky black cami with black biker jacket for evening wear with heels.

Softpebbles Thu 24-Oct-19 19:14:01

This skirt. Was thinking black ankle boots, black polo neck or jumper.

My issue is I’m often cold so would need to wear tight.

happytobemrsg Thu 24-Oct-19 18:11:14

Talisin might have one? She has gorgeous midi skirts. Which ones did you buy @Softpebbles & what do you plan to wear with them? I bought 2 sequin midi skirts (Next) & I've bought some lovely jumpers to go with them from New Look
