I need new hair straighteners

I bought this straightener last week (cheaper, on an offer that has now expired). It seems to be on offer in few places, if you shop around. Really like it!

My GHDs also died- they were over 15 years old. Couldn't afford to get another pair at the moment (plus, not sure they still make them like they used to).

I'm loving the L'Oréal steampod. Recommended on here. It is much quicker than my old GHDs, and seems gentler on my hair.

But depends on hair type, mine is thick and wavy.

I tried a few cheaper pairs, my hair went to fizz and was breaking. So wasted money as ended up with the premium ghd ones. Hair much better. Cloud 9 I tried and were ok, but I think ghd better.

I have some corioliss c3 straighteners, they've been going strong for about 5 years. I prefer them to the GHDs that I had before them. I think they are cheaper too.

Depends on your hair type. I’m Indian and have thick afro hair - GHDs are the only brand that works for me.

Might be worth checking whether they can be repaired. Mine, which were over 10 years old died and I had them repaired for £30 and they have since lasted another 5 years!!! There's a few places that do repairs by post... this is the one I used www.ghdrepairsexeter.co.uk/services

I have a steampod. It's great and straightens my hair quicker, better and with far less damage than any of my previous straighteners. It is a faff though. I use deionised water in it to stop the tubes from getter clogged with mineral deposits.

Cloud 9 straighteners have saved my snappy, thin hair. They're fantastic and definitely worth what they cost. I've had a variety of cheap pairs and GHDs in the past but these surpass all previous ones.
