tacky

expensive

bad for your own hair

HIDEOUS when they start to get to the stage where they start coming loose

nomdeplume> ohh i'm just curious. i dont want them! if i want longer hair, i'll wait and grow it...(and live under a hat in the meantime ;)) i'm more or less wondering about other people's experiences with them!

Doesn't sound too good then.. but I'd so love to have really long hair and I struggle to get it grow without it looking ratty.

Pete Murphy...love those cheekbones..hasn't aged terribly well though..mind you, neither has Robert

had them a couple of years ago....were fantasti c, very natural, and looked marvellous... didn;t last as long as i had hoped though, possibly because i was pregnant, and my hair was going barmy !!

did find my hair was finer after they had been removed...

Any news on a potential meetup with the bar and tearoom folks?

Report
michaelad · 26/07/2007 12:32

Anyway, how much did you pay for your extensions and how long did they last in the end?

I do my own extensions using tape nobody has detected them, I used to have bonded extensions but they do thin the hair, so I don't use this method even though I have trained to do it. The tape puts no stress on the hair and is very comfortable to wear.

michaelad > mmmmm peter murphy........;)
each time i've had the pleasure of seeing him in concert (once in philly and in london in 2005), i've been front row...center. puurrrrrrrrrr! robert looks ok for his age... last time i saw him on anything, he was a bit sweaty

I've had them, 2 things you need to know
They hurt going in and being tightened every six weeks, i've had 5 kids and a boob job, the extentions were the worst.
2nd, they are much harder to look after than your own hair, they knot up and can be difficult to blow dry.
I've had mine 2 months and will keep them another 6 weeks at most by which time my hair should have grown a bit.
I'm glad i had them done but wouldn't have them done again unless I went for the £1,000 real russian hair.

michaelad · 26/07/2007 22:02

how much did it cost you?

Report
Hideehi · 26/07/2007 22:04

About £250 in liverpool and then i paid £60 last week to have them tightened.
