Help! I need to find this dress

We are going to wedding and my DD who is sport mad and was refusing to wear a dress (she’d prefer a football strip). Unfortunately it’s a very posh wedding and this wouldn’t go down well.

Anyway we went shopping and tried on some dress and found one she liked yay! But it was to small. It’s a Ted Baker childrens dress in age 13 I need but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. DD really likes the neck line and frill as it covers her bust. Does anyone have an idea where I can get one or a dress that’s similar? I’ve tried Debenhams, House of Frasers, Next, and very but they are all sound out. I also tried eBay as second hand would be fine.

Cant help with that dress fanatic but would your DD like something like this? Covers the bust and chest and is floral and fun with a dark base colour? www.oasis-stores.com/gb/clothing/dresses/lace-top-bloom-skater-dress/068919.html?dwvar_068919_color=61&position=175&cgid=dresses#page=14&productsMoved=46&hideFeatured=false&start=175&categoryID=dresses

She doesn’t have to wear a dress in this day and age surely! Jumpsuit? Trousers with a fab jacket?

Thank you. DD is not keen on the lace unfortunately.

I totally understand what you are saying about a jumpsuit however
the bride has requested a certain dress code for male and female guests and as we are close to her we would rather just help make her day special instead of going against it. My DD would not wear a jumpsuit as she would be the only one and stick out like a sore thumb and it’s likely there will be media coverage so she wants to blend in.

Disclaimer: Bride isn’t bridezilla honestly

How big is she? Any chance she would fit the smallest sized adult dress range?

When my daughter had a leaving Prom when she left Junior school, I bought her an adult dress and just put darts in the back to make it smaller.

Some styles wouldn't need altering.

This is white, but a young person's style and available in an adult 6

Could you try Ted Baker in House of Fraser Dublin ?
The phone number is 0035312991400
Or try the Ted Baker stand alone store in Grafton Street Dublin
phone number 0035318814111.

@1disneyfanatic I once rang every Debenhams store in a 100mile radius to find a pair of bridesmaids shoes 😳. It worked but I did drive 78miles each way to collect them!

Have you tried phoning Ted Baker outlet stores? There is one at the McArthur Glen outlet at Cheshire oaks, so there must be others. May be worth a call and i’m sure they would post

Under what kind of circumstances is it acceptable for a bride to dictate the type of clothes worn by guests? . Madness.

As an FYI I worked for Ted B many moons ago when they first started with children's wear and they only used to go up to 12yo...

Disclaimer - this may have changed?

Adult TB is available in some styles in size 0 which is like a UK size 6

(Again, this was when I worked there years ago)
