I'm calling it! You know the rules, wear a different lipstick every day this month. (I love this and look forward to it every year.) Has it been a year already? shock I've been buying make-up (again) and have some lippies I need to get through! I'm not wearing anything at the moment, that will change come morning though. smile

I'm quite tempted by some of these

SapphireSeptember Sat 09-Mar-19 23:43:46

darklady I have Urban Decay Afterdark, it's matte with shimmer, but sounds like what you're after, and Maybelline Berry Bossy came up as a dupe for MAC Rebel when I googled it. I have both of these (and Revlon Raspberry Bite, which is perfect but sadly discontinued!) I'm a sort of cheapskate though. smile

Greyhound Ooh, a challenge! I'll mooch round the internet and see what I can find!

Nice to see this thread is still going.

I bought a Burt bees tinted balm in a pinky colour and L’Oréal colour riche berry blush which is I think my new favourite.

Sainsbury’s have the maybelline Matt inks on sale at the moment for £7 each. I know there’s usually 3 for 2 deals going on maybelline but never seen them reduced - good if you only want one. I know the Lover is a favourite here and with me too.

I’ve lightened my hair since Jan, so it’s a good excuse to buy more lippies!

Oh thank you @Palominoo , that looks wonderful

Palominoo Fri 08-Mar-19 17:34:48

Thedarklady -

Framboise Velours by Givenchy is lovely.

Thedarklady Fri 08-Mar-19 17:22:16

My darling lipstick queens, recommend me a nice lipstick, I'm willing to spend for the right shade/s.
I want dark fuschia, purply dark pink (magenta?), raspberry or dark hot pink and to to suit dark hair and fair, cool skintone.
Nars Shiap is too light
I like MAC Lickable (have already)
Mac Rebel sort of colour
YSL have some nice shades

Not a great image but only one I can find....

Greyhound22 Thu 07-Mar-19 20:26:05

Random alert.

Has anyone been watching Shakespeare and Hathaway. I'm after the exact same lip colour that Marlow wears - I think the MUA uses it on some of the rest of the cast too.

It's exactly what I'm after and can't find it anywhere! An orangy pink!

Ooh, that eyeshadow palette looks pretty! smile

I just liked being able to scribble on my face with a felt tip pen! grin But yes, they were very drying. Lip balm was my friend. smile

BusterGonad Wed 06-Mar-19 14:48:41

Oh and I loved the felt tip ones. They were so fun but sooooo drying! Ha ha. I use a touch of gloss over my stains and it looks so pretty!

BusterGonad Wed 06-Mar-19 14:46:49

Yeah I do Sapphire they are very similar but have the same applicator as a gloss. The first one by Etude House has amazing staying power! It's unreal. I also purchased an eyeshadow palette by The Balm today.

Somehow I didn't post my Temptalia link, oops! Kinda want Lucky In Love too, I don't think I've got anything like that in my (vast) collection.

Ooh, Buster, they look nice! smile I don't wear lipstains very often. Do you remember the felt tip pen ones? They were kinda fun. grin

BusterGonad Wed 06-Mar-19 10:31:29

Here they are, the first one is a pink/red, the second is a gorgeous wine colour, like a brown red, and the third is a bright pink. I love them!

BusterGonad Wed 06-Mar-19 10:27:12

I've been buying lip stains, like Benetint but Asian brands. I'm really pleased with them.

SapphireSeptember Wed 06-Mar-19 07:33:44

Drat! I can sympathise, I woke up with one this morning (and I've got a cold, so not helping!)
Still been buying lipsticks though, I got all 12 of the NYX midnight chaos lip-glosses, (two were broken though, I'm waiting for a refund so I can replace them.) They were half price too!

And I bought one of the MAC Lucky Red lipsticks. I went to the shop, swatched Lady Danger and had to have it, bonus is it's in really pretty packaging (I didn't even look at the others, which is a shame, Lotus Light looks really pretty.)
I think Temptalia has better swatches though, it look far more orange in real life!

How are all our lipstick lovers doing? I've got a massive cold sore so can't wear any at the moment angry

Vintagewannabe Fri 08-Feb-19 23:02:02

Oh I don’t find it too bad, doesn’t lastbery long though sad

Lottapianos Fri 08-Feb-19 16:16:12

That's a lovely colour Vintage, although I didn't get on with the formula. I found it weirdly drying for a product with 'butter' in the name!

Vintagewannabe Fri 08-Feb-19 15:48:59

Revlon lip butter in candy apple red today. After my very pink selfies I thought I’d go more red today lol

Lottapianos Thu 07-Feb-19 19:26:21

Ooh fab, thanks. Love No7

Vintagewannabe Thu 07-Feb-19 18:59:35

@lottapianos and @MyGastIsFlabbered it’s no7 stay perfect lipstick in raspberry silk. It is gorgeous and stays on all day

AnotherPinkiePieStory Thu 07-Feb-19 18:22:04

Great let’s continue.
I had an exam yesterday (awful professional thing) that really shook me and I expect to have to resit.
Wore a Maybelline lipstick and it rise to the occasion. Not wearing today as in sulk. Results in 2 weeks.

Someone asked me about how I did the selfies. I just lie back under light and then zoom in and crop!

MyGastIsFlabbered Thu 07-Feb-19 17:26:59

@Vintagewannabe the bottom left lipstick is divine. What is it?

BusterGonad Thu 07-Feb-19 16:18:01

Thanks Lotta in my haste to investigate it a accidentally chipped the end off with the lid! blushbut a quick wipe with a wet wipe and all is well again! Think I'll wear it tomorrow with a nude look and a touch of blush!

Lottapianos Thu 07-Feb-19 16:02:42

Buster, that's DIVINE

Vintage, which colour is in the bottom left corner? Looks like NARS Schiap....
