Are those underwear peg things any good?

You know, the ones that clip onto your washing line nad have a round thing underneath with lots of little pegs on, for underwear. Do they work, or do you end up with damp knickers?

MamaG Fri 22-Jun-07 10:45:33

oops, this isn't good housekeeping!

Yes, they're good if you'res hort of line space. Things do take longer to fry, obviously, but get there in the end.

why are you frying knickers?

MamaG Fri 22-Jun-07 10:59:11

my knickers are hot stuff already I don't need to fry them

NuttyMuffins Fri 22-Jun-07 10:59:29

I have one but hang it in airing cupboard not on the line.. Tis good, generally can fit all underwear from a wash on there and it dries really quickly.

MamaG Fri 22-Jun-07 11:00:21

Ta nutty, thats a good idea

PrettyCandles Fri 22-Jun-07 11:01:45

I@ve got some from Ikea (shaped like an octopus as it happens). I@ve not noticed them taking longer to dry and they're fab as you only have to snatch [snurk] one thing off the line when it's raining! Great for indoors too where drying space is limited- I hang them from a curtain pole above a radiator, stylish but effective!

I use mine for socks so that I don't have to individually peg 50 socks to the line - tis brill! Also useful for camping.

WideWebWitch Fri 22-Jun-07 11:07:58

They are bloody brilliant.

MamaG Fri 22-Jun-07 11:08:06

Right I'll buy one (from Ikea, I want an octopus)

MegaLegs Fri 22-Jun-07 11:08:59

Am now the proud owner of a bright orange plastic peg thing

I asked if they had it in any other colours, bloke looked at me like I had two heads

MamaG Fri 22-Jun-07 14:47:26

I SAID I'm the proud owner of a bright orange plastic peg thing

PrettyCandles Fri 22-Jun-07 15:19:01

[round of applause]

LilRedWG Fri 22-Jun-07 15:21:07

LilRedWG Fri 22-Jun-07 15:21:35

I can never see the point of these things except to save space on the line.
I prefer hanging the small stuff on radiators or on the garden furniture.I am much to lazy to peg a million socks.
