Waves to Lib. Me&em skirt is due today so will report back if the colours work. Also need to update about Trish McEvoy purchases I think? Or have I already done that?

Nope, tell us all about Trish McEvoy!

I haven't bought any new make-up in ages. I'd also like to know what Hourglass stuff you persuaded Dry to buy.

So before the MU I went to Liberty to the Trish McEvoy counter to investigate that pink toned highlighter pencil to brighten eyes. Had a fab male consultant who basically said it wouldn't be man enough for the job on my dark circles. Grin
He directed me towards this concealer and I have to say I love it. It is quite thick, very light reflective and he showed me how to apply using the 'triangle of light' which I had heard of but which runs over a much bigger area than I had realised. I wear it most days with Erborian CC cream and it lasts all day. £££ but worth it. I also bought two eyeshadows that he recommended, a shell pale pink toned one as a base and a purple for the socket line. They are magnetic and then you put them into your own palette so you can mix and match. I was v impressed with everything I tried and would definitely investigate more products as needed.
Me&em package has arrived - just need to get time to try on.

Thanks for new thread shop and thanks for the info re the Trish McEvoy pencil. My eye circles are horrendous atm, I look like I've got 2 black eyes so I won't bother trying it. Will check out that concealer when I finish my Laura Mercier one.

I had a flick through the Boden catalogue earlier while DS napped (I'd been saving it, how sad lol) and saw a few nice dresses and things:
Dress
and other recent pins on that board. Sometimes I think I need to be careful or my entire wardrobe will be red and navy!

There's 15% off at NAP atm with code FASHIONFIX if anyone needs it.

I love a new thread!!

blair I always love the Boden catalogues too!
I bought these cords. Love them and they fit really well but just not sure that they go with enough to justify keeping them...

Hellooooo.
Marking place.
Thanks Shoppe
Liberty no persuading needed. I just said “shop sort me out” and followed the leader to the counter where a very nice SA put Ambient Dim Light powder (my friend today said it “blurred” well) and Ambient powder blusher in Diffused Heat (looks edible) . I bough both. I think we have similar colouring Liberty and the blusher would work well on you.
I love both because they are not at all powdery and so fine, no wrinkle enhancing here.

Her next purchase needs to be the Hourglass mascara Lib - stuff of dreams. Sleep and I were both raving about it at the MU. It takes a lot to tempt me away from Lancôme Hypnose but it’s fab.

That Dries dress is divine Shop.

Marsha what a shame about the TB dress - it does look great but I reckon the 'sold out' sign is making it seem more alluring.

Thanks Dry have made notes on the Hourglass stuff. We do have similar skin tones so I reckon that blusher would work for me. I need a new blush, I'm scraping out the bottom of a cream YSL one that Fedup gifted me ages ago atm.

I've done a Zara order of 3 tops and I realised after I ordered that all three had the word 'ruffles' in their titles Grin.

I had a chat with a colleague at work today (who always looks immaculate) about shopping for summer clothes and she went 'all you need is a couple of nice frocks, a pair of sandals that work with everything and a couple of new t-shirts'. I felt I was in the presence of a fashion goddess who had just made it all really simple Smile

Thanks for the new thread shop. Monaco trip sounds fab!

I have been reading just not had time to post, so hopefully this won’t be an epic one Grin.

Make up sounds good shop and dry. That mascara is on my wish list. I’m still keen to try that eye brightening pencil - interesting that the triangle needs to cover quite a large area.

Love the links of the NZ designers lib.

That is a lovely dress marsha and would look great on you. Hope you and shop manage to track it down.

Sorry to hear you’re still under the weather dream, hope you feel better soon.

Love that dress from stories blair. Could it be shortened? I always worry that things won’t look the same once they’ve been altered like that.

How was the stories skirt shop? Going back to one of your previous comments about how you felt that your style had become predictable, I don’t know if that’s true or if you have just found a style that you like and that suits you. A signature style almost. But I suppose the danger with that, is that it can start to feel like a uniform and maybe that’s what you meant about ‘predictable’?

I bought this dress in the sale. I had seen it full price but wasn’t paying that for it, so was pleased to see it reduced. I’m pleased with it and like the pattern and the fit.

Does any one else think the High street seems really expensive at the moment? Jumper in hush for £100, jumpers in mint velvet for £80, dresses in lk bennet for £300, dresss in whistles £180 etc it just seeems a bit crazy. I know you can get designer for that kind of price on the Outnet or even in some of the sales at matches and NAP.

Being at the cutting edge of fashion Grin I have just done a Boden order - these hoody and joggers , breton and this dress in the black pattern. I decided against the star dress that bernice ordered as wasnt sure that style really suits me, and I prefer the more fluid fabric of this dress.

Out on Saturday with DH so might wear the new whistles dress.

I love this Masscob dress but can't find it in NZ. Really tempted to order but delivery charges, duties and potential return costs really put me off - so annoying.

Nice buys Everyone, I love the Whistles dress and the Boden Libby dress. You really suit those styles.

Everyone the Me&em skirt is a keeper and looks good with the Stories turtleneck. It also seems to work with my fuchsia cashmere too.
You hit the nail on the head about the predictable thing. I simply feel as though I have been wearing the same thing for years. It's quite hard to mix things up when your day to day life is always the same Grin
That Whistles dress you linked is lovely - totally the opposite of what I can wear but just lovely.
Lib surely something similar to the dress you linked will crop up in NZ?
And yes Everyone I think the High Street is ridiculously overpriced at the moment. Once you get into the likes of Whistles, French Connection, Reiss, Hush etc there is such a jump and the quality doesn't always reflect the £££.
