No Spend August anyone?

So, nearly into August, I have spent a blinking fortune on holiday clothes .I have loads of toiletries that I'm going to take with me to use up.

In September I can start indulging in my passion- jumpers .

But till then, I aim to spend nought in August.

Anyone care to join me Wink ?

Grin
I was dithering about a bikini , thinking "Bum , I'll have to get it tomorrow" but really, I don't need one.

That's exactly what I've been dithering about - but I couldn't find one to fit my giant norks today, so it's unlikely I'll see one tomorrow!

I’m in too. I’ve had my holiday, I don’t need anything but I will want some jumpers and dresses for the Autum.

I did a no buy July (mainly!) but some fucker ended up cloning my card and running up numerous transactions to Deliveroo Hmm
I’m not committing to anything now, it was a sign Wink

I stopped buying clothes (apart from underwear - am breastfeeding and have magically shape-shifting tits that need support) as a New Years resolution this year and so far I’ve not cracked.

I do do a fair bit of dressmaking so have made some new things, but I think knowing the work that went into them changes the way I feel about my clothes.

After the first couple of months (really tough as i got into the habit of clothes shopping as a recreational activity) it is such an absolute relief, and I am gradually whittling my wardrobe down to things I either actually love or actually need, and have more space for other stuff in my drawers/wardrobe and my brain.

So I think what I’m saying is, if I’m doubt, give it a go. So totally liberating! (And financially a help too)

Me me me! I managed Jan, Feb and March and then fell off the wagon baaaadly! Would quite like to get through Sept as well.

Yes, I'm in! I was a bit spendy in July (it was needed though) and am all set now for early autumn. A month or two of not buying anything could do wonders for for my self control.

I'm in - I've lost some weight and went mad buying new clothes. Time to stop and just enjoy what I've got.

I’m buying everything today so I can stop tomorrow Grin

Unless I weaken in the next few hours I’ve managed not to buy anything in July.

Ummmm, does replacing a running-out nail polish count? she asked in a small voice...

I am in. Beautiful clothes are my weakness. I made two sales purchases in July but would like a no-spend August so I can save money for new Autumn purchases come September!

first of the month

I have enough to last me in the way of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deoderant , shower gel and soaps.

So unless something really urgent rears its head (which I cannot think of anything) then I'm done for August.

I need to buy new toothbrushes but that's not S&B Wink

As with Vinnyinny, I'd lost some weight and went a little mad on summer clothes, but it did get to be a bit of a habit. Now need to halt, and enjoy/use what I have.

Failed -bought a sun hat, a bikini and some harems BUT shouldn't need to buy anything else now until at least October!

I can’t wait to be wearing jumpers and boots again. My feet have been freezing today. I’m making a list of things I need.

I have so many pairs of boots! I don't actually 'need' any A/W clothes, but I 'want' a leather midi skirt, and maybe a new leather jacket (not to be worn together!).

I'm not needing anything, so am saving until my favourite shop unveils their autumn winter offer, but even then, I'm not aware of any wardrobe gaps that have to be filled pronto.

Yeah Remus embrace the Double Leather Wink

I am staying away from bikinis (I'll just do one pieces on holiday , as long as my arms and legs tan)
Though I'm going to the mud baths so I'll need to check what I can wear ...........

As soon as August is over I'll be ogling the Woollovers site Grin
