Are these too small?

I bought my normal size. They feel tight over the top of my feet and the buckle is on the 5th hole.

Are these too small?

Perhaps a little tight, or it may be the angle of the picture? How do they feel? They do stretch with wear. Love the colour!

They're really nice, but maybe size up?

Take a pic of your feet whilst standing in them so I can see how your feet spread.

They look alright. Perhaps if they're a bit uncomfortable, you need ones with a bit more give across the straps?

Yes. Your feet are going to get warm and increase in size a lot faster than they are going to stretch. Go for a larger size otherwise they will become the sandles in the bottom of the wardrobe that cause blisters.

They look a little narrow on the foot and around the ankle. When it’s hot and your feet sweep up I think they may be tight.

They do look a little tight, the left one in particular, and I would imagine that in hot weather they'd be rather uncomfortable. I'd definitely size up.

They're lovely OP where are they from?

They do feel tight. If I get a bigger size will the straps be looser? Not really sure how Saltwater sizing works.
I’ve packaged them up to go back but am debating order a larger size.

I think you are supposed to soak them whilst wearing them to stretch and pull the straps around. The footbed looks the right size.

I would say if they feel right as soon as you have them on, it's a bad sign.

Saltwater sandals are meant to feel tight I thought. You soak them with your feet in and then they fit perfectly for ever more. I waalked 6 miles in mine today and they were lovely and comfy, the first time I put them on I could only just get my foot in.

Length ways-fine
Width ways-clearly too tight-you'll proper suffer in those

They look really tight around your ankle.

If you're supposed to soak them to get them to fit, what happens if after soaking they still don't fit or fit in a way you don't like? You can hardly send them back or is that ok? Seems an odd way of buying shoes to me.

Take another picture when you’re standing. They do look small.

I have been looking at saltwater sandals recently. Two things i have noticed/learned from the website:

  1. they say your feet should be inside the stitiching, and yours aren't
  2. the size they say they are seems to be a size smaller than the uk size.

They also mention that they are not 'traditional' US sizes, so if you are used to them, you still need to check - there is a fitting 'tool' you can print from the website to decide what size you are - have you tried that?

I’ve already packaged them up to return them. They are no better when I’m standing up 😫

Actually I think they would be fine if you immerse your feet in water (while wearing them) and let them dry on your feet as they recommend. They look right in length, just need a bit of a stretch in width.

These are a mine - I posted this pic on another thread the other day. I think mine are just a bit too long in length but fine in width.
I think yours look the opposite - fine in length but could do with a stretch. If you size up they might end up like this, there's just a little too much length for my liking.

I think they are too small. If they look like they just about fit while you are sitting they will be too small they you are standing and have your body weight on your feet.

Also, one of your little toes looks like it will make an escape if you walk any distance.

Report
Bramble71 · 17/07/2018 23:59

I think you need the next size up.

There doesn't seem to be much length left on the sole in front of your toes and, when we walk our toes are forced forward, so your toes might go over the end of the sole. They also look pretty tight round the ankles and the little toe on the left in the pic seems about to be forced between the straps.

If you're worried about the ankle strap being a bit loose on the next size up, you could ask a cobbler to punch 1 or 2 more holes in the strap for you.

I've printed the online size guide and I apparently got the right size . Maybe these sandals just don't suit my feet.
